Spring Parade, a Real Wedding – Katie & Brian

Katie and Brian were married on 27 March 2010 in upstate New York.  A fabulous reception in a historic casino in Saratoga Springs, NY followed a traditional religious ceremony.

Here, Brides Up North share the details of this beautiful couple’s stunning Real Wedding day.  

Katie says: “Six months ago today I married my best friend.  It was a wonderful, amazing day and I couldn’t have dreamed of anything better.  Most importantly, from that day forward I had the honour of calling Brian my husband.  He is currently serving in Afghanistan and looking through these photographs make me smile and bring me back to that perfect day.”

“My dress was by Essense of Australia.  I purchased it at Lily Saratoga.”

“Once I saw Sex and the City at the movies, I knew I had to find blue wedding shoes.  I loved them!”

“My shoes were by Nina, and I ordered them online from Macys.” 

“The bridesmaids wore champagne coloured gowns by Bill Levkoff and carried hand tied bouquets of pink roses”

“Being that it was the end of March, it was a bit chilly.  I chose a faux fur white wrap to go over my shoulders and it turned out to be one of my favourite pieces!”

“Brian and I chose to do a “first look” before our vows, where we saw one another before heading to the church”

“We said our vows at the beautiful St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church”

“The ceiling at our reception venue was amazing”

“For our table numbers I took photos of our yorkie puppy Bailey and placed the numbers on the photos.  Since he couldn’t be there, I thought it was a nice way to include him"

“The cake we chose was a red velvet with cream cheese and raspberry swirl vanilla cake with a Bailey’s filling – delicious!”

“Before the party really started, we headed out to get some final photos with the sunlight”
