Where did I leave you?  That’s right, Alan was waiting nervously at Durham School Chapel, whilst I was still posing…

My white vintage Rolls and the bridesmaids’ white Austin Princess were hired from GW Holmes.  Their drivers were fantastic.

You have to obtain a special license from the Archbishop of Canterbury to marry in the Durham School Chapel, with its wonderful vaulted ceiling and views of Durham Cathedral.  I went to the school for sixth form, so we were able to demonstrate a strong enough link to the building.

One of my good mates, Chris Garside, played the organ for us.  He is so talented that he didn’t actually need the music, it’s just for show!

Hartlepool Male Voice Choir are amazing. Amazing! They lead the hymns and performed a really moving rendition of You Raise Me Up.
