The Wheels On The Bus, A Real Wedding – Jenny & Mike

Well, fast forward a few months and here they are on their real wedding day, with photography by Ali Lovegrove Photography.  Looks like the weather was on their side yet again

Jenny tells us more: Mike and I got married on Sunday 1st May 2011, at Woodborough Church then onto Bestwood Lodge Hotel.  We had always liked the venue and had taken our dog on many walks in the country park around the hotel

I chose a strapless A line Maggie Sottero gown from Southwell in Nottinghamshire.  The girls were in plum one shoulder maxi dresses from Coast and the flower girls wore white dresses with plum flowers from Debenhams.

I carried a very simple bouquet of purple orchids to compliment my dress.

.

.

Mike is fantastic at drawing so added his own little sketches to the order of service, name cards, kids favours, invites and thank you cards.

.

We travelled in style on the day – by London Bus!

.

.

.

.

.

.

We ran our purple theme throughout the table plan, writing on the name cards, ribbon, cup cakes, table decorations and so on.

.

.

.

.

For our evening entertainment, we hired a Jukebox so that our guests were in control of the music. We also had an amazing magician who wowed everyone.

.

After the wedding, we had lots a little honeymoons staring with a romantic night away without the children at the Clumber Park Hotel then holidays in Hereford and Norfolk plus days out with the family

.

.

.

My top tip for other Brides Up North would be to be organised! And delegate on the day!

.
