A Wedding With Welly: A Real Wedding – Becky & Duncan

Brides Up North fabulous photographer Matt Tordoff of Greyeye Photography whizzed over this speedily organised Real Wedding to feature on the wedding blog today.  It may have been thrown together with haste, but these beautiful images of this wonderful wedding will ensure that Becky and Duncan can relive the memories of their very special day forever.  I hope that you enjoy these images as much as I have!

Over to Matt: Believe it or not this whole wedding was pulled together in just three months including the wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses, the marquee, catering, entertainment including Russian singing waiters, kids entertainers and a three piece 40’s style female vocal group.

The ceremony was at St Mary’s Church in Mirfield which was funnily enough the church I was married in almost exactly 10 years previously, and the reception was hosted in a marquee at Weddings and Wellies in Norristhorpe.

Claire and Duncan who run Weddings and Wellies provide such a wonderful bespoke service its always a special event and I always look forward to the weddings there. Always helps that Greyeye Photography are the recommended photographers for them as well!

The reason why the wedding had been rushed through was unfortunately due to Becky’s mum being severely ill and without going into the details Becky dearly wanted to share her special day with her mum so they leapt into action and pulled together an amazing wedding which for all purposes could have been 2 years in the planning.  It’s amazing what the dedicated professional people in the wedding industry can pull together in what seemed a miraculously short period of time.

And despite the reason for rushing the wedding forward, you couldn’t have wished for a greater celebration. Everyone was there to party and boy did it show.
