The Littlest Bridesmaid, A Real Wedding – Claire & Euan

Lovely friend of the wedding blog Cat Hepple Photography has been teasing me with this gorgeous Real Wedding for what seems like an age (after seeing just one shot of Lily the dog AKA The Littlest Bridesmaid, I knew it had to be shared with all you Brides Up North).  So, in a wag of a tail, its over to Cat…

Claire and Euan married on the 8th June 2011 in Bingley. They had their reception at Hollins Hall. The date has a HUGE significance to them. BOTH their sets of parents married on that date the exact same year ! So it was both their parents 37th wedding anniversaries on the couples big day.

Their lovely westie Lily was the chief bridesmaid. The couple also have a son, Sebastian, and both he and Lily the dog played a big role on the day, and are so important to the couple.

Claire wore Jimmy Choos (yippee) and her bridesmaids were in a gorgeous vibrant blue, a colour which appeared throughout the day, along with a softer turquoise.  The colour scheme worked very well at Hollins Hall.

After a church ceremony they headed to the venue for a drinks reception on the croquet lawns and a wedding breakfast. They had a string quartet play during the day and a fabulous live jazz band in the evening.

I had two sessions with them during the day to capture some gorgeous shots of the two of them. The first set were once we arrived at the venue and the second set were after dinner. We got a little braver then and even used the couple’s room for a few more intimate shots.  I always have an engagement shoot with my couples (the Romance shoot) and this really helps build their confidence and trust in me.  It makes the wedding day photography so relaxed and you can really see how at ease the couple are in front of the camera.
