Pony Club! Sophie Rocks Her Dress

Hey, hey!  It’s almost the weekend!  Dip a Crunchie into your morning cuppa whilst perusing the wedding blog and enjoy this atmospheric Rock the Dress shoot submitted by Catharine Noble Photography.  You can almost feel the sunshine coming off the screen.

Remember ladies – a rock the dress shoot is your chance to put yourself out there and incorporate parts of your personality that perhaps didn’t get a chance to show through on your big day.  Here, Sophie seizes the opportunity to celebrate her love of the outdoors and show off her brand new pixie cut!  There’ll be only one type of pony tail in this lady’s life for quite a while!

I can identify with her motives completely.  After months, nay, years of growing the ‘do for the wedding – there’s nothing better than a great new haircut to make you feel like yourself again.

Catharine explains the thinking behind the shoot:  Sophie had a total restyle since her wedding with a beautiful cropped hairstyle and was excited to rock her dress with her new look!

Sophie has always has a passion for horses and also horse riding, as a little girl and right through to adulthood. Unfortunately problems with her back during pregnancy meant that she could not ride for quite some time but now she is just getting back into her hobby and she wanted to include it into the shoot. So we based part of the shoot  around Sophie’s love of horses and horse riding and includes Billy the horse, her cousin’s pride and joy!

The shoot took place near Sophie’s home town Rivington in the North West, which has amazing scenery. Rivington is also dear to Sophie’s heart as she and her husband enjoy walking, rambling and hiking around the countryside. They have done so since dating and now enjoy outings with their two beautiful young boys! We even set up a pretty picnic for some shots.  It was such a fun day for all involved!
