Er… WOW! Lets get this week off to a mighty fine start on the wedding blog, with this fabulous Marie Antoinette styled wedding inspiration shoot by a collective of North West wedding industry suppliers on location at The Belle Époque and sent to me by Brides Up North Featured Supplier Laurel Weddings and her photographer friend Alex Davies Photography.

Lets hear from Alex Davies: Laura (of Laurel Weddings) & I met back in October at a social evening and chatted about collaborating on a shoot together. We wanted to do something innovative and involve quite a few different suppliers. We decided on a Marie Antoinette theme, which would have lots of fresh flowers and the pastel colours would be perfect for Spring. It would also allow our make-up artist to be really creative.

Almost at the same time I got in touch with Collette at The Belle Époque in Knutsford. I had always wanted to shoot there and never had the pleasure. We thought that the French theme and décor would go perfectly with what we had chosen to do. I was totally over the moon when Collette agreed that we could shoot there.

Laura knew Nicole from Pearl Bridal Boutique and asked if we could borrow some dresses to which she very kindly agreed. I knew the hair and make-up artist I wanted to use as I had met Fatimah Vadia for MakeupBase at a wedding last year. She works for MAC so she really knows her stuff and is very creative. Laura also asked Francesca from the Cheshire Cat Cake Company to get involved, as we couldn’t have a Marie Antoinette without cake!

I cast for two models on Model Mayhem and we got the lovely Steph and Darcy on board. Whilst searching for models, Eleanor from Elouise Designs approached me about doing some stationary which I thought would be fantastic.
.
Now it was just a case of organizing for the big day and making sure everyone knew what they were doing!

We shot for most of the day and I was just amazed at all the beautiful flowers, cakes, stationary & dresses. Fatimah did an outstanding job on the models’ hair and make-up. We had an amazing day shooting, everyone worked so hard and it all came together beautifully and worked in so well with the venue. We are looking forward to more collaborations in the future as it really gets our creative juices flowing!
