Today’s Real Engagement feature by the super talented (and lighting wizard) Andrew Scott Clarke comes all the way from sunny Sheffield.  Rachel and Ali are getting wed this very weekend people!  Let’s wish them lots of love, luck and happiness!

Rachel says:  There was no massive pre-planned proposal to be honest. During a bit of a night out, we got talking and more or less proposed to each other, that was 3 years ago… we adopted a relaxed approach to wedding planning!

We are getting married this weekend (!) at Hartington Hall (a youth hostel in the High Peak – a whole weekend affair!).

We met back in Berlin 2007 at a Killers gig, Leicester lad meets Sheffield lass!

.

We hit it off straight away, same sense of humour so it was belly laughs from the start. Our first date was at Woodall Services (South bound…classy eh!) – we met for a coffee and ended up there for about 4 hours.

He’s my best friend, lover and soul mate all rolled into one – corny but true!

We chose to have an engagement shoot to prepare us both for the big day.  We were dreading the shoot as it really wasn’t something we would naturally elect to do. Within 10 minutes however we really eased into it as Andrew made it very informal and relaxed. The shoot really did what it said on the tin as we are far more prepared for the big day and are looking forward to what Andrew has in store for us. We’ll save a space on the wall in our new house for at least one of the photographs.
