And the Real Wedding pretty just keeps on a rolling in here at the wedding blog. If a double rollover of beautiful weddings wasn’t enough for you yesterday (and did you see them?! click here and here to catch up) then today we are hitting the jackpot.
.
Just feast your eyes on this stunning black and gold wedding sent to me by Vickerstaff Photography and real bride Claire. It has class in spades, and Claire has totally aced her big day styling.
.
Soak it up!

Claire tells us more: Sam asked me to marry him on Christmas Day 2009 in our little flat at the time in Chester. We were married on 12th May 2012 the St Matthews Church, Buckley and our wedding reception was held at The Queen Hotel, Chester. We chose the reception venue because the staff were so professional, and the place is just beautiful.

We went for a slightly vintage theme, with a regal colour scheme of black and gold.

I chose to wear the gorgeous Benjamin Roberts ‘Fatima’ gown from Boda Bridal in Chester. My dress had a lace bodice and a full tulle A line skirt, with a black applique waist band.
.
I carried a mixed bouquet of roses from Alison’s Pot Pourri and for a personal touch added my Nanna’s brooch on my flowers, as she and my Grandma had passed away.
.
.
.
.
My bridesmaids wore floor length silk satin gowns in gold and black from John Lewis Collection at John Lewis, and they all looked beautiful.
.
The guys were all suited and booted by Young’s Suit Hire at Debenhams.

I travelled to the church in a 1970s Rolls Royce for J E Davies Cars, black and white to match my theme perfectly!

My favourite bit of the whole day was the car journey on the way to hotel – a quiet moment together away from the madness, as husband and wife. Perfect!

.
.
We chose a chocolate, Victoria sponge and fruit wedding cake affixed with individual cut iced flowers, and topped with special Mr & Mrs cupcakes instead of a traditional cake topper from Janey’s Cakes in Chester.

After the wedding we jetted off on a triple centre honeymoon to Orlando, Miami and St Lucia.

My top tip for other Brides Up North would be don’t stress about little details, no one else but you will know if they are not done.

Congratulations Claire & Sam!

We just loved these pictures, not only were they sensitive to the occasion but captured all aspects of the ceremony, details of the preparations, venue, clothes and reception in a seamless story of the day as it unfolds. A real sense of love, joy and fun comes through the pictures.
Absolutely stunning! Exquisite, simple, beautiful just perfect.
what a awesome photography the bride is looking so beautiful and all pictures are really stunning thanks for sharing this blog.
Beautiful photos of a lovely looking day. But why do venues insist on making people cut cakes with HUGE swords!!!?
WOW, what lovely comments from everyone! We had a fantastic day; Claire and Sam were the perfect couple and we were welcomed into the family as soon as we arrived in the morning. We do hope to share some more of our weddings with you on Julia’s fab blog.
Thank you for your kind words everyone.
