So, I’m thirty years old.  I run my own business, held down a job as a lawyer for years and worked in fashion magazines before that.  I know how to apply my own make up.  Right?

Right?

.

Wrong.  Very wrong.

.

I thought that I knew.  At least, I spent over 15 years slapping it on every morning and heading out the door feeling A OK, didn’t I?  But it turns out that I didn’t even have a clue.  I was doing it backwards, for a start.  15 years of potential skin perfection and better photographs wasted!

Still, the only way is up from here, and I now come armed!

I recently spent a most enjoyable morning with Brides Up North Featured Supplier Make Up By Jo, taking part in a Jemma Kidd masterclass@HOME.  Jo has recently become an official tutor for Jemma Kidd (as well as working her make up magic for Rimmel at London Fashion Week and on hundreds of lucky ladies on their wedding days).

The morning, at Jo’s beautiful home (she is happy to host parties there or come to you) was filled with laughs, gossip, multiple cuppas and Jo’s amazing home made cookies.  I think I stopped at five.

As well as the day being a load of fun, I also came away with an armful of on the day discounted products and some super useful hints and tips for making myself look prettier.  Result!
