In The News! Recent Offline Press For The Wedding Blog

July 24th, 2012 | Julia Braime

.

Although you’ll find most of my ramblings online, either on these wedding blog pages or over at Twitter or Facebook (come follow and like and join the party there too!), I’m still always excited to see my work in print.

.

I’ve been working hard to build a reputation for good freelance bridal commentary, and am thrilled to now be working regularly with the likes of Bridal Buyer, Wedding Ideas Magazine, Loved Up Magazine, Etc and local and national press.

.

To date, as well as the above titles, the Brides Up North brand has been featured in Hitched Magazine, Wedding Magazine Online, North East Life, Pure Weddings Magazine, Belle Bridal Magazine, The Daily Mirror, The Evening Chronicle, The Sunday Sun, The Journal, The Yorkshire Post, The Times and Times Online.

.

Most recently I was over the moon to be asked to join National glossy as a regular columnist.  This invitation to contribute to the bible really does mean that the industry at large is starting to take note of our Northern Revolution (hurrah!).

.

I was very excited to see my first double page spread – all about the trend for beautiful All White Weddings – hit the newsstands.  Have you picked up your copy yet?

Congratulations Julia! As an avid BUN reader for over a year now it is great to see you get the recognition you deserve! On another note I get married 4 weeks on Sunday and just wanted to say a huge thanks for you! Not only do you give fantastic inspiration, I also won my wedding cake through you! Keep up all the good work! Amy x

about the author

Julia Braime
Former lawyer and bride to be Julia founded Brides Up North in 2010 with a chip on her shoulder. Frustrated by the poor Northern presence in glossy bridal magazines and online, she decided to do something about it herself. Astounded by the rapid growth of her blog and brand, Julia now manages Brides Up North’s online content alongside their busy wedding exhibition season, industry events and related commissions. And she’s always, always, got a new project on the go…
