Let’s keep the pretty coming as we fast forward towards August (can you believe it?!).  Just over a month to go until Brides Up North Wedding Show season kicks off good and proper.  I couldn’t believe it when nearly 100 of you registered for the Brides Up North Wedding Exclusive at Nostell Priory in under an hour following a mail out yesterday, and I am super excited for a busy season packed full of wedding inspiration.

But for now, lets celebrate one beautiful bride’s wedding in Yorkshire, as Clare and Mirek tie the knot, with images by Nicky Chadwick Photography.  I’m in orchid heaven!

Claire says: The day after the royal wedding we were in Wales and on a bowling green!  Mirek had been planning to ask me for months but hadn’t found the right moment – then when someone in the group of friends asked if he was ever going to ask -  he did, there and then! The ring was at home but it got in the papers and everything because they were featuring the bowling event!

We were married on 1 June 2012 at St Joseph’s church, Harrogate with the reception at the Sun Pavilion Harrogate.  The venue just felt right – we wanted a relaxed day with no real formalities and it fitted perfectly with our plans.  We opted for a grey and pink colour scheme.

My beautiful classic dress was by Caroline Castigliano.  I carried a cascading bouquet of pink orchids and my bridesmaids carried white sweet peas, all by Kate Mell Florist, Boston Spa.

My favourite moments were definitely walking down the aisle and our first dance.

We travelled in style in Mirek’s TVR Tuscan, which had been decked out for the occasion!

Instead of favours we had charity boxes on the tables for three charities close to our hearts, Alzheimer’s, Cancer Research and MacDonalds House.  Sally Barber provided our chair covers.

After the wedding we enjoyed a honeymoon in sunny Portugal.

My top tips for other Brides Up North would be select the right suppliers that fit with your style and understand your needs. Go to a good bridal shop for your dress and enjoy it!
