It’s Thursday.  The weekend approacheth.  If you need another reason to be cheerful, then how about this  beautiful twosome’s lovely love story, with a gorgeous set of engagement photographs by the superbly talented (and a Brides Up North Featured Supplier to boot!) Jess Petrie Photography.  I was saving this for my Wedding Magazine column, but thought that I would share this with you lot here too!

Let’s catch up with Brides Up North reader Jennie and her husband to be Andrew as they take a pre-wedding walk through one of their favourite beauty spots.

Jennie says:  Andrew proposed up Loughrigg Fell in the Lake District. We were all on our own overlooking a view of Lake Windermere and the ring was in the lunchbox for our picnic!

We are getting married this month at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Chipping, Lancashire. The plan is to have a garden wedding, weather permitting!

We met at 6th Form College through mutual friends in year 2000 and became a couple in 2001.  Our first date was both of us (and a hundred other people!) at an after show party. We became a couple on a Tuesday and the party was on the following Saturday. It was our first chance to socialise due to the show I was in that week.

I think I knew Andrew was the one when he suggested we move in together.  I love Andrew’s smile and the way he gets on so easily with people around him.

Our greatest wish for married life is good health and happiness.

We thought an engagement shoot it was a great idea to get to know our photographer, Jess Petrie Photography, and her style. We knew it would help settle any nerves in front of the camera for the big day! It was also great to have some professional pictures taken in one of our favourite local walking spots!

We had a lovely afternoon for our engagement shoot and it helped us to relax. We have shared the photos with our family and friends which has stirred up the excitement for the big day!
