I Love Ewe! A Real Engagement In The North West – Laura & Rob

I do love a little bit of lurve on a miserable wet Friday morning! 

.

Laura and Rob (along with Matt Bowen Photography) took to the hills to celebrate their engagement with this beautiful and endearing little shoot as the sheep looked on.

.

All together now… ahhh!  (Or should that be baaa?).

.

This is their love story…

Laura says:  Rob woke me up really early on Christmas Day to go to get my present and as I had been nagging for a pet I was not expecting a ring at all! Whilst driving Rob pulled over because a ‘wheel felt funny’ and when he asked me to help he was on one knee and we happened to be at the top of a hill over looking my favourite view. It was perfect timing as all our family we near us for Christmas!

We are planning to tie the knot in July 2013 in Knutsford, Cheshire.

We first met through mutual friends at a friends gig.  Rob had told our friends he wanted to be out the next time I was out so our first date was sprung on me! We instantly clicked and he made me feel so at ease and was so funny, I knew we had to see each other again.

I knew he was “the one” at Leeds festival 2006 watching Foo Fighters play Everlong – I just knew everything was meant to be.

.

I love how we can have so much fun and laughs just doing nothing at all, even if his worst habit is throwing his socks off every night until there are a gazillion pairs scattered all over! My worst habit is always being late… I promise I wont be late down the aisle!

I hope we never stop having fun doing nothing at all!

We decided to have an engagement shoot to get used to having professional pictures taken before the big day. 

.

.

.

.

I was actually a lot more nervous than I thought I would and going out the night beforehand probably wasn’t the best idea! Matt did a brilliant job and we’ve come away with some wonderful pictures to frame.

.

.

Its great to have a wedding blog based locally with lots of useful contacts for where to find things we need.  We’ll be back to share our wedding photographs with Brides Up North.
