She Said Yes! A Real Engagement – Sam & Andy

Maybe I’m super nosy (ok, definitely), but I love featuring engagement shoot and stories!  It’s a real privilege to share all the details of how a couple met, what they love about each other and their plans for the future. 

.

Today we are dipping into the love story of Brides Up North reader Sam and husband to be Andy, who headed off to the beach for an engagement photography session with Photography by Sarah and Joanne.

Let’s hear from bride to be Sam…

Sam says: We got engaged in Rhoda Bay, Corfu, on 15th June 2010.  Andy proposed at night on the beach, down on one knee.  It was a total shock despite being together for five years, I thought it wouldn’t happen for a while yet!

We are getting married in June 2013 at Kirkley Hall, near Ponteland.

We first met at college when we started hanging around in the same group of friends.  We had previously been at school together but didn’t know each other then.

.

Our first date was just a meal and a few drinks (as you do!) and it was true love right from the start!  I knew that we were meant to be together as I had never felt that feeling ever before.  I used to describe it like “a mould”: we just fitted together perfectly and it felt so right.

I love the way he looks after me and lets me know how much I mean to him, and our biggest with for married life is a happy, healthy and fulfilling future together. 

.

.

In seven years we have never had any pictures taken so decided to have an engagement shoot to put that right!  We thought that it was a good idea to get used to having pictures taken together in the run up to the wedding.

We loved the shoot and had lots of fun after we relaxed in front of the camera.  We plan to frame a selection and make a memories album with the rest.

.

I love Brides Up North as there are always lots of exciting new features to pour over.  I especially love the Real Wedding shoots as they give you a personal insight into other brides’ big days – and we will definitely be back to share our own wedding photographs on the blog!
