A bit of fun on a Thursday morning, with this casual and cool American style elopement shoot in the heart of Northumberland sent to me by Sami of Tinsel Tiara.  Showcasing the work of some of my favourite North East suppliers, Make Up By Jo and What Katy Did Next, this shoot makes me want to pack up the laptop and hit the road.  Next stop, Las Vegas.

Sami says: I wanted this shoot to have a story line and to be set in the 50′s with a touch roughness and a hint of delicate love.  I met David Hill, the photographer on our Lickety Split shoot and knew he was the person the to take the pictures: his attention to detail was perfect.  Along with my double act Make Up By Jo and What Katy Did Next we worked out the look we were looking for and then I started the search for other suppliers and models.

The venue, The Hearth Cafe, is managed by my sister and set in the lovely village of Horsley in Northumberland.  With its amazing views and quirky interior it was the ideal venue.  My dad is a big American car fan and is a member of Tyneside American Cars.  It didn’t take long to convince them to let us use their precious cars for the shoot, any thing to show off!

With the suppliers all lined up and two stunning models I set about creating the story:  Set in the Deep South of America a young New York girl falls in love with a rough tattooed rockabilly.  We had an amazing afternoon: the sun shone, the sky was a brilliant blue and everything went according to plan and more. I owe these amazing people a huge thank you for making this shoot a success.
