Preparing To Party… And A Glance Behind The Scenes

December 11th, 2012 | Julia Braime

.

It’s FINALLY HERE!  I feel like I’ve been planning incessantly for over a month now (oh that’s right, because I have been planning incessantly for over a month now), and the day of the Brides Up North Christmas Party has finally arrived!  Hurrah!

.

Excitement levels here at Brides Up North HQ have hit quite scarily unprecedented levels – particularly for a Tuesday morning – and I can’t wait to welcome all our party people to the wonderful Thorp Perrow this evening, along with our hosts CWC Malings.  Our guest list has been packed for the whole month, but there a still a few last minute places up for grabs. Click here for the low down.

.

I spent the whole day at the house yesterday, dressing this stunning wedding venue’s stately rooms and taking part in a bridal fashion shoot which I co-ordinated to show off Thorp Perrow’s glamorous side and that it’s perfect for a winter wedding (provided that it’s huge fireplaces are stoked!).

I absolutely love working on location and yesterday I was particularly lucky to have an amazing team of friends and talented superstar industry suppliers around me.  I am genuinely excited to show off the venue tonight (twinkle twinkle!) and to share our beautiful shoot later on.  Huge thanks to the amazing Twisted Willow Floristry, Curvy Bridal, Joe Dodsworth Photography, Make Up By Jo, Love Hair & Beauty Boutique and our stunning models Ruth and Alexandra for all your support, vision and for lending your beautiful products and skills to our gorgeous cause.  You utterly rock.

Until later tonight, or until I can share the results of our day here on the wedding blog, here’s a little behind the scenes glance at what we got up to.  If you think these look good… just wait till you see Joe’s professional shots, or the venue in real life. I properly love my job.

Looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labour (just your decorating and organising labour mind!) this evening. Who’d have thought things like this take so long to organise!
