One For My Industry Friends: The UK Wedding Conference

So I don’t like to sensationalise (much) but these last 12 months have been truly epic for the growth of the Brides Up North brand.  I am passionate about our mission here on these swirly silver pages: bringing fabulous local wedding suppliers to the attention of fabulous local brides, helping to connect and build strong bridges between hardworking small business people in the regional industry, showing that the North has style by the paper pom pom load and having a lot of fun whilst we are at it.

And you know what?  It’s working!  You can recap on our achievements over the past two and a bit years here, but all I know is that our Brides Up North branded bridal and networking events are packed to the rafters, you can read our columns in the very best regional and National wedding titles on a monthly basis, we are being invited to participate in bigger and better high profile industry events and that website hits are higher than ever before making Brides Up North truly one of the most popular wedding blogs in the UK.  Hurrah!

The Northern Revolution is in full swing, and I’m already looking forward to a very exciting 2013.  More to follow in our yearly seasonal recap later this week (so I won’t go on!), but for now, I wanted to tell you all about an industry event that I am thrilled to have been invited to be a part of.

My industry colleagues Linda Williams and Bev Howard of The UK Wedding Shows have embarked on a new project to share their knowledge and expertise with other business professionals. The UK Wedding Conference is a very special, must visit event for wedding professionals nationwide and offers two days packed full with informative and educational sessions.

The twenty three sessions over the two days will be complimented with workshops focusing on the more serious business aspects including accountancy, employment law, insurance and pensions.  A trade exhibition will also run over the two days allowing delegates to shop for services required to enhance their business.

Mark the date in your diaries! The UK Wedding Conference will take place on November 4^th & 5^th 2013 at the International Events Centre at Ricoh Arena in the Midlands.  I’ll see you there.
