Happy Sunday Brides Up North! How are you spending yours?

Today is one of those rare days when I have absolutely nothing in the diary whatsoever. No calls to make, events to host or attend, not even a family roast dinner. And you know what? Rather than feeling bored or restless, I’m absolutely revelling in it!

If you are a regular reader of the blog, you’ll know that the last few weeks months have been super hectic here at Brides Up North towers, with a huge home and office move thrown into the usual mayhem, just to keep things interesting. So I’m grabbing hold of this glorious free time with both hands, using it to relax, recharge, read the Vogue Catwalk Report, feather my nest and catch up with all the outstanding admin issues that the past fortnight’s dodgy server and internet provision have left me with. I think I should win as I would share the prize with my mum so she could get a special outfit as mother of the bride
I think I should win because I fell in love with the Evelyn dress and it would suit me perfectly.

I would love to win this amazing competition as I’m a plus size girl who is currently pregnant and due to be chief bridesmaid at my little sisters wedding in April when I will be extremely pregnant. I would love to win, we are currently saving for our wedding after I had my son nearly 2 years ago, since then ive struggled to lose the bit exra weight i put on and have felt very self conscious of my body, im sure winning this and finding the perfect dress to fit i will feel beautiful again x
I’d love to win this competition. I was diagnosed with a disability in 2010 and since then I have lost all confidence in my body. I used to love my curves, now I just see a fat blob. Hubby to be is constantly telling me that I’m beautiful and, just for once, I’d love to feel it myself.
Wow, I’d love to win this prize. We haven’t set a date yet although we are hoping for a beautiful vintage-styled wedding and these dresses and accessories look picture perfect for what I’m after. We are both self-employed and money is tight, plus with the very sad losses of my mum to pancreatic cancer 11 years ago this year and my partner’s mum last summer (to lung cancer) I am dreading going wedding dress shopping… The thought of going it alone makes me terribly sad. I think I should win becuase we live with my parents so we can save to buy our first home and pay for our wedding at the end of the year, and any extra towards the wedding, will go towards the deposit
I’d love to win this prize because I looked in my wardrobe the other day and realised most of my clothes were ten years old or more. Tatty bottomed trousers, shirts with white stains on the armpits, faded jumpers and nothing that fits right. I need some new clothes for my honeymoon in Lake Como – or else I’m going to give the British a bad name by looking an utter scruff.

It’s been indeed a gray and dreary month … hard to think of wedding preparations at a time like this! I’d love to win as we are looking for a maid of honour dress for me for a wedding in July. It hasn’t been great financially but my friend deserves THE best wedding, as the photos will last a lifetime. I know winning this will give her some relief, knowing that at least my bit will be taken care of for her wedding

I really need to win this for my fiancee
I think I should win as I’m plus size and proud! But have recently been put down by a bridezilla who chose a bridesmaid dress that only went to a size 16!(and a small one at that!) I am having to pay for it to be majorly altered to fit and made to feel ashamed about my size! Oh and all the other BM’s were 6′s and 8′s great! Would live a wardrobe refresh to pick me back up and have something great to wear next time I see everyone!
Not trying for the sympathy vote here, but I’m getting married later this year. My mam passed away eight years ago and although I’m excited to be getting married, I’m struggling to get excited about going dress shopping without the one person every girl should have with her.
