My recovery rate isn’t what it used to be. It’s taken me the best part of a week to shake off the fug following a frightfully good night at our first ever #WeddingHourLive.
Lisa of The Wedding Affair and I have been wanting to collaborate for a while – and we wanted to do it in style – so we decided to get together to bring the wedding industry’s Twitter feed to life for a spooky Halloween soiree. This was an entirely not for profit event, and our way of saying thank you to an industry that is so supportive of our businesses. Plus, being in the events game, we like to show off what we can do!
And what a night it was.
Whenever you throw a party, there’s always that 12 year old girl inside shrieking “Oh my god! Will anyone come?! Does anyone like me?! Will there be enough cake?! Will people dress up?!”. The party bags were packed, but we needed a crowd.
We weren’t disappointed!
They came. They costumed (beyond all expectation). They cocktailed. They casino’ed. And they teared up the dance floor.
We really do love you all. A huge thank you for your amazing support and making this event so much fun. Thanks-not-so-much for the week long hangover.
If you follow this blog on Facebook and Twitter (ahem!) then you’ll have already seen some candid and photo booth shots from the night (thank you Peter and Susie at Booth Revolution), but here’s a first look at what went down from behind our roving photographers’ lenses. There’s more to come… no one’s safe (!)… but here are a few of our favourites so far!
