As well as telling you all about out own events, we also like to share carefully selected diary dates from our sponsors and friends that we think might interest our discerning readers.  Did you see my big exciting announcement last week?!  Still buzzing from that one!

This lovely, vintage themed, event – White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fayre – brought to you by Brides Up North friend and Featured Supplier Rachael of The Social Butterfly – and including some of Brides Up North’s own favourite exhibitors and other featured suppliers – is one for your diaries.

White Memoirs vintage inspired wedding fayre returns to Festival Hall, Alderley Edge on Sunday 23rd February, 11am – 4pm, free entry.  Housed in a 1920’s ballroom, the independent wedding fayre will bring together over twenty five Cheshire based bridal businesses from specialist craft backgrounds, guaranteed to inspire couples looking to put their personal stamp on their special day.

Rachael of White Memoirs says:  The event aims to showcase the talent within the wedding industry on a local, independent level whilst inspiring couples to put their own personal stamp on their special day, using small businesses to handcraft their wants and desires. The exhibitors I work with do business in handfuls and are truly bespoke, both in the products they make and the services they offer.

We look forward to hosting three catwalk shows from exhibiting bridal boutiques including true vintage bridal brand Honeybomb and bespoke wedding dress designer Erica Stacey.

Award-winning headwear designer, Karen Casper of Tulle and Candyfloss will be showcasing her exquisite collection of handcrafted embroidered hair accessories, created with the alternative bride in mind. Newcomer, vintage-inspired accessories designer Ophelia May will be presenting her stunning range featuring handmade sashes, garters and hair pieces, as well as offering a bespoke bridal service.

There will be plenty of scrumptious foodie exhibitors to whet your appetite at White Memoirs! Tea With Tom will be running a pop-up vintage tearoom, serving a delicious array of too-go-to-eat cakes, lady-like finger sandwiches and copious amounts of loose leaf tea. If savoury is more your taste, the Pizza Peddlers are returning to White Memoirs in their reworked Citroen H van serving up stone-baked pizzas in just two minutes. New to White Memoirs are Hoban and Sons, offering a travelling bar service from an old converted ambulance! Be sure to arrive early and be one of the first 50 brides to receive a complimentary glass of fizz!

Adding a touch of sparkle to White Memoirs with their giant, illuminated letters are The Word Is Love, hire ‘Love’, ‘Dance’ or make your special day super personal by hiring your initials! Ensuring everything looks perfectly pretty, event dressers, Pretty Little Trio will be showing off their styling skills and assortment of one-off props and curious finds to hire.

Exhibiting with White Memoirs for the very first time are Grace and Faith Papercuts whose hand cut designs make wonderful keepsakes to remember your special day by. Once again, bespoke stationery company, Black Ribbon Design will be returning with their letter pressed collection and personalised wedding hangers.

DIY brides looking for alternative hen party ideas can gain inspiration from travelling crafting party company My Craftea Day. Why not try out one of their taster sewing sessions at the fayre?

We are pleased to showcase three super talented photographers, creative duo Dotmoxee, award-winning Claire Basiuk and alternative twosome Stella Photography. Our wedding campaign, as showcased here, was also shot by Stella Photography.

Of course no vintage wedding fayre would be complete without a VW campervan to ensure you arrive in style! Brides can look forward to meeting ‘Pumba’ from alternative transport company, Bay Camper Weddings!

Finally, Cheshire based make-up artist Kirsty Jane will be sure to make you look picture perfect, with free mini styling demos and trials on the day.
