For you ladies on the dress hunt we have details of yet another fabulous bridal event!
On 17th September our wonderful Sponsor Lovebird Brides, which is located in the pretty Yorkshire town of Ilkley, will be hosting a Charlie Brear designer day, giving you lucky brides-to-be the opportunity to be among the first to try on dresses from Charlie’s brand new collection. Not only that, but there will be an expert Charlie Brear stylist present at the event, and those that make a purchase on the day will be given an exclusive 10% discount.
Here with all the details is the owner of Lovebird Brides, the lovely Laura…
Tell us a little about what the designer day will include…
laura says: The new Charlie Brear collection will be with us for this exciting event. All appointments will have exclusive use of the boutique, with refreshments, and there is 10% off any Charlie Brear orders made on the day.
What are the benefits of the event to brides-to-be?
Those attending the event can be one of the first to see the amazing new collection with a huge selection of stunning dresses available to try on, that we wouldn’t usually have in the boutique. Furthermore, Jess from Charlie Brear will be here for the day so brides will have the opportunity to be styled by one of the Charlie Brear team.
How many appointments are still available for the designer day?
We only have two spaces available, so brides need to book ASAP!
Tell us a little about the new Charlie Brear collection…
For 2017, Charlie Brear presents a fashion-led bridal collection inspired by a modern take on cocktail wear. Off-the-shoulder sleeves, front-split skirts, low sexy backs can all be seen in collection, alongside the signature bridal separates. In addition to sandwiched silks, crepe and fine grain satins are new innovative fabrics, including body form stretch lace and crepe, and architectural lace.
Any particular favourites or stand out pieces within the collection for you personally?
I adore the Marceau dress with its low back and wrap around detailing. The Wren dress is beautiful too in full lace with off-the-shoulder strap. Saying that, the whole collection is stunning!
What is the price range of the Charlie Brear dresses that you stock?
Prices range from £1,200 to £2,800.
What are you looking forward to most about the designer day event?
Having the whole collection in the boutique, along with Jess from Charlie Brear – brides are in for a real treat!
Do you have any advice for brides-to-be attending the designer days?
The new collection is now available to view on the website along, with existing designs, so I’d advise ladies to go online and take a look at the different types of styles to gage which they like best, prior to attending the event.
How do ladies go about booking an appointment for the events?
Phone 01943 968220, book through our events page on the website www.lovebirdbrides.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Anything else we need to know?
If any brides can’t make the Saturday please contact me as we may be able to offer you an appointment on the Friday instead.

Former lawyer and bride to be Julia founded Brides Up North in 2010 with a chip on her shoulder. Frustrated by the poor Northern presence in glossy bridal magazines and online, she decided to do something about it herself. Astounded by the rapid growth of her blog and brand, Julia now manages Brides Up North’s online content alongside their busy wedding exhibition season, industry events and related commissions. And she’s always, always, got a new project on the go…
