October 18th, 2016 | Julia Braime
As huge fans of bridal designer Caroline Castigliano, us Brides Up North girls would most definitely be making an appointment for the event that we’re sharing with you this afternoon – if only we had an occasion that required a wedding dress, that is!
But while we don’t have an excuse to attend the Caroline Castigliano 2017 Collection Trunk Show at our fabulous Sponsor boutique, The Bridal Collection, you lucky brides-to-be most certainly do.
Taking place on Saturday 29th October, the stunning Harrogate boutique will be showcasing Caroline’s exquisite 2017 Love is in the Air Collection, providing a unique opportunity for you to be among the very first to see, and try on, the latest designs from this incredible designer.
Here to give us all the details is owner of The Bridal Collection, the lovely Hayley Hoyle…
What can brides expect from the Trunk Show event?
hayley says: For this day only we will have an extended selection of gowns from the 2017 Collection along with some of Caroline’s Signature Classics so it’s a perfect time to come and find your dream Castigliano creation.
The Love is in the Air Collection features exquisite back details, clean lines and flattering silhouettes. A variety of fabrics include luxury Mikado, silk organza, beautiful stretch crepe new for this season and Caroline’s signature beaded Chantilly lace.
Tell us about a little about Caroline Castigliano designs/collections, what type of brides do they appeal to?
Celebrating 25 years as a leading bridal wear designer this year, Caroline’s gowns are renowned for their classic and timeless style mixed perfectly with contemporary trends for the modern bride. The emphasis of each dress is to enhance the female form, which is achieved through incredible corsetry and luxury fabrics – and the latest collection is no exception.
For you personally are there any standout/favourite designs that will be featured at the event?
Mirabeau from the collection features a show stopping sheer back with incredible metallic embroidery. It’s a real standout design for us and was a must when we chose our selection.
For something with a fuller skirt we fell in love with the Eternal Love gown, which has a tiered skirt with a fitted bodice and a gorgeous sweetheart neckline.
The collection also showcases many timeless shapes with impeccable fit and fabric, with the addition of jackets, shrugs and belts allowing brides to customise their look.
What is the price range of the Caroline Castigliano gowns that will be featured at the event?
Prices for the collection range from £2,200 to £5,000.
Is there any preparation that brides can do prior to attending the event?
Take a look at our website and social media pages to gain a good insight into the collection and Caroline’s designs.
How long will appointments be during the event and what can brides expect during their appointments?
Saturdays at The Bridal Collection work a little differently. Personal appointments and a tailored experience are at the forefront of everything we do and so when many bridal boutiques pack their most popular shopping day full to the rafters with brides, we have taken a unique approach. With extra special treats and a longer more relaxed appointment this really is an experience to enjoy.
What are you most looking forward to about the event?
As the collection is yet to land in boutiques around the country, we feel very privileged to have the full collection here for the weekend and we are looking forward to seeing all of the collection again and showcasing the beautiful designs to our brides.
How do brides go about making an appointment for the event?
Appointments are very limited and demand is expected to be high so appointments carry £30 consultation fee to secure your slot, this is fully redeemable against any dress purchased.

Former lawyer and bride to be Julia founded Brides Up North in 2010 with a chip on her shoulder. Frustrated by the poor Northern presence in glossy bridal magazines and online, she decided to do something about it herself. Astounded by the rapid growth of her blog and brand, Julia now manages Brides Up North’s online content alongside their busy wedding exhibition season, industry events and related commissions. And she’s always, always, got a new project on the go…
