Forever a fan of a fashion-forward bride, we just love the opportunity to bring our readers exciting news of the hottest bridal collections out there – which is why we’re thrilled to be revealing details of a new designer to land at one of our Sponsor boutiques.
Leave space on your must-visit boutique list ladies, as this one is a biggie that you won’t want to miss out on. The lovely Emma Draper of LOVE Bridal Boutique in Altrincham, Cheshire, is now the proud and exclusive northwest stockist of the latest Savannah Miller collection; Avalon’s Song.
British-American fashion designer, Savannah, well-known for her label Twenty8Twelve, created with sister, actress Sienna Miller, launched her second collection in May this year at The White Gallery, London, where Emma fell whole-heartedly for the stylish bohemian designs which she knew would massively appeal to LOVE’s fashion-conscious brides who crave something a little different from the norm.
Keen to find out more, we invite Emma to the blog to give us an overview of Avalon’s Song as well as details of the stunning dress designs from the collection that she has chosen to stock at her beautiful boutique.

emma says: The gowns in the Avalon’s Song collection are timeless, effortless and the ultimate in “boho-luxe” glamour but with a relaxed quality.
Drawing upon Savannah’s love of vintage styling and the wild English countryside, gowns are made in the UK in sumptuously rich and textured fabric, paired with simple, flattering lines. Detail is pulled from the bohemian style of the 1930’s and colours are soft and muted with hints of delicate embroidery, resulting in the perfect balance between romance and glamour.
Her stunning gowns are comfortable to wear, using clever design and split sizing, which is great when somebody has a larger bust and smaller hips or vice versa. Savannah has really thought about the female figure when designing her collection, perfect for brides who have comfort high on their list of priorities but without compromising style.
The dress that the collection is named after! This stunning gown features a beautiful cowl neckline which continues at the back of the dress too. We love the ingenuity of the removeable piece of lace that demurely covers the lower back during the ceremony but can be removed to reveal an alluring look for evening. It also, very cleverly, has a built-in bra so that it provides support when the back is out.
A classic hourglass gown channelling an old Hollywood vibe in a satin-backed crepe. Featuring delicate drop sleeves with loose tails draping at the back, this dress is perfect for accentuating curves.
A bias-cut V-neck satin gown with sheer silk panelling along the bust and gentle, billowing skirt. The epitome of Hollywood glamour.
Silk crepe gown with a pearl-embroidered tulle overlay. Such a romantic, pretty dress in the creamiest of ivories, perfect for paler skin tones, with the delicate, on-trend pearls adding a touch of opulence.
A simple shape with such wow factor and a demure sexiness. Bias cut, with cowl front neckline. Beautiful teamed with the Marlowe cape or simply on its own with a graceful back necklace.
A heavily beaded strappy gown, perfect for our destination brides wanting the wow factor but needing comfort to suit the setting of their wedding.
High neck, bias cut, silk charmeuse gown whose heavy fabric skims and hugs the body in all the right places, flattering curvy figures. Cleverly constructed with built in bra support and low back detailing. Looks incredible on its own or styled with the Marlowe cape.
Available in either plain silk chiffon or shoulder to toe, on-trend pearls, this cape adds instant drama and elegance to your bridal look, can be styled over pretty much any of Savannah’s gowns to manage the transition between daytime and evening and offers a great alternative to the veil.

Former lawyer and bride to be Julia founded Brides Up North in 2010 with a chip on her shoulder. Frustrated by the poor Northern presence in glossy bridal magazines and online, she decided to do something about it herself. Astounded by the rapid growth of her blog and brand, Julia now manages Brides Up North’s online content alongside their busy wedding exhibition season, industry events and related commissions. And she’s always, always, got a new project on the go…
