official blogger: join brides up north at the national wedding show manchester

August 23rd, 2018 | Julia Braime

Catwalk 1

We’re super excited to be reprising our role as official blogger for The National Wedding Show at Manchester Central this autumn on 27th to 28th October 2018! As the North West’s biggest wedding show, you can try, buy, book and hire all that you need for your perfect day.

With up to 200 wedding specialists, from bridal boutiques and florists to photographers and cake designers, this is the place to gain first-class creative ideas, tips and advice from the area’s crème de la crème of wedding suppliers. As one of our very favourite events of the year, we’re always eager to learn what wonderful extras The National Wedding Show team have in store – and ladies and gents, we can safely say that you’re in for a real treat!

As usual, we’ve got some great savings up our sleeves for you too – we ain’t the Official Blogger for nothing!

Book tickets adult tickets for just £12.50* or save £5 on VIP tickets by clicking here.

We’ve put together a list of our not to be missed moments at the show – and there’s SO much to see and do. Top tip: leave the high heels at home!

supplier heaven

This is your ‘all under one roof’ chance to meet hundreds of top wedding suppliers face-to-face.  Some of the exciting names joining the fun this season include: J&J Designs, The White Gallery, Bride at Swarbricks, Churchmouse Cheeses, Krispy Kreme, Manchester Gin, Moss Bros, Nigel Rayment, Qube Events, Shropshire Petals, The Eclectic Hotel Collection and many more. We’d say that’s every detail covered.

she’s in fashion

Our favourite bit (you’ll always find us in the FROW)! The showstopping catwalk brings the latest looks for brides, bridesmaids, grooms and guests to life in a fabulous show that takes place four times a day. Whilst the bridal dresses are the obvious showstoppers, you’ll also see beautiful make-up looks, a variety of on-trend hairstyles, shoes to fall in love with and even inspiration for bouquets and other accessories! Grab yourself a guaranteed seat with a VIP ticket (more on that later)!

Former lawyer and bride to be Julia founded Brides Up North in 2010 with a chip on her shoulder. Frustrated by the poor Northern presence in glossy bridal magazines and online, she decided to do something about it herself. Astounded by the rapid growth of her blog and brand, Julia now manages Brides Up North’s online content alongside their busy wedding exhibition season, industry events and related commissions. And she’s always, always, got a new project on the go…
