We’re so excited to be hosting our first wedding event at The Highfield House, Driffield, THIS SUNDAY 16th September 2018, 11am till 2pm, FREE ENTRY!

A fascinating new addition to the Yorkshire wedding scene, Highfield House invites couples to indulge and celebrate in lavishly styled surroundings, complete with exciting art and creative food and drink. Highfield House appears private and discrete from the outside but has a grand, exciting and memorable personality hiding within for couples to discover and explore.

As one of Yorkshire’s finest Grade II listed buildings, the striking Elizabethan styled Arts and Crafts home has a rich and varied history dating back to the early 1800s. It has served under many guises; from a windmill to a lavish country home, an Army base to a memorable country club. It has grown and shrunk, been re-imagined and remodelled.

Most recently, international designers Andy and Lindsey Lampard have refurbished each of its rooms in their beautiful style and contemporary standard of luxury to create a venue unlike any other.

This Sunday we are opening up the whole building for you to see, and adding 20+ of the area’s very loveliest wedding creatives too, to make sure that every finely tuned detail of your wedding is just as perfect as these finely tuned surroundings! It’s going to be such a gorgeous day and we can’t wait to welcome you.

Entry  is completely FREE for you and your whole party, and as well as our usual goody bag full of little treats from Brides Up North, including the BRAND NEW issue of UNVEILED Magazine, we also have 100 pairs of complimentary tickets for The National Wedding Show to give away to the first 100 registered brides to arrive! Bonus!

explore

Particularly well suited to fashion-conscious couples looking for a relaxed yet refined experience, Highfield’s interiors are unapologetically bold, stylish and luxurious. Available for exclusive full hire, whether celebrations are grand or intimate, the house boasts a variety of mesmerising rooms that can be used as couples wish.

The Grand Hall, a timber carved, vaulted and panelled room can seat 60 guests and house a band or string quartet from the secret minstrels’ gallery.

The ornately panelled Drawing Room has exquisitely decorated ceilings and is a beautiful space to present a civil ceremony, host a wedding breakfast or enjoy the evening entertainment with access out onto the terrace and lawns below.

The Evening Parlour can accommodate up to 60 guests. With its plaster moulded ceilings, panelled walls and elegant style it makes the perfect space to relax, hold speeches or intimately dine before the big day.

The Library Bar, Reception Hall and Galleries house art collections, antiques and curiosities and provide beautiful backdrop for the day’s orchestrations.

Outside the house is set within an exclusive, seven-acre oasis of natural beauty, comprising 250-year-old trees, entertaining lawns, manicured gardens, bridged weir and picturesque waterfalls, providing stunning backdrops for photographs. For larger parties, Highfield can arrange to accommodate a marquee or tipi within its grounds.

dine

Food and drink are two of Highfield House’s greatest passions and so couples can be sure of a memorable dining experience as part of their celebrations.

Highfield also has its own in-house bar team who specialise in bespoke cocktails, served and presented to perfection. Skilful mixologists will work with couples to create imaginative tipples and will stock the bar to individual tastes and requirements.

stay

Beyond a secret house door, couples will discover Highfield’s East Wing Apartment. Housing two-double bedrooms, the space is often used by the bride and her bridesmaids on the eve of the wedding, and is then prepared again for the newlyweds on their wedding night.

In line with the venue’s exceptional style, the apartment is decorated in rich velvets, stunning antiques and contemporary colours. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home with Highfield’s team happy to facilitate additional requirements, such as arranging spa treatments from the comfort of the apartment on the wedding eve, through to a personal chef cooking for the bride and her party.
