So, Brides Up North, I will not lie. I am feeling a teensy bit the worse for wear after a weekend over in Manchester celebrating my friend Rachel’s upcoming nuptials. Ok, so more than a teensy bit. We came, we skated, we wined, we dined and we danced. I’m not cut out for these 5am finishes.

It’s been a social kind of week here at wedding blog HQ, between nipping to Sheffield for fellow wedding blogger Kelly’s Boozy Boho Bash last Wednesday, starting the Christmas shopping, catching up with wedding industry friends for a Christmas drink and a ladies lunch with Leafy Couture and the Yorkshire contingent tomorrow, I’ll be needing to get back on the Brides Up North Bootcamp come January.

Rise and shine Brides Up North! It’s Super Sunday, and it’s all change!

You might have noticed a bit of a redecoration at the top of the wedding blog, as brides in the North East can now register for their VIP Bride To be Goody Bag for the first ever Brides Up North Super Showcase Grand Wedding Exhibition, being held at one of the North East’s favourite wedding venues, Ramside Hall Hotel on Sunday 4th March 2012. I am so excited for this event, which will bring together 80+ of the region’s top wedding suppliers under one roof. We also have a few surprises up our sleeve too, plus some amazing giveaways, on the day discounts and two professional bridal fashion shows. Don’t miss it!

This week has been a busy one for this little wedding blogger, fine tuning the plans for the Super Showcase and The Brides Up North Wedding Exclusives with Dine Venues in Yorkshire, hitting some freelance deadlines and hosting my very own Blog Skool seminar at the very busy Forward Ladies Positive Women’s Day in York. I had some amazing feedback from those that attended, and am happy to announce that I will be venturing over the Pennines for a North West event in the New Year…

In March this year Diamondart launched their new bridal jewellery range ‘DiamondLove’. The range is proving to be very successful and within just four months of their premier launch they have already collaborated with Benjamin Roberts on a TV series that is all about how to successfully accessorise your wedding dress to bring about that perfect look for your big day.

The series runs on Wedding TV and is called ‘Accessories Boutique’, comprising of three shows, each with it’s own distinctive theme: Romantic, Traditional and Boho.

Morning all! I kinda love drizzly winter Sunday mornings! With nothing to do and no-one to see until later today, it’s the perfect opportunity for a cosy lie in, then a spot of hanging out in my pjs at the computer with a warm brew.

This morning’s post comes to you a little later than usual as I have been casting my votes as a regional judge in The 2012 Wedding Industry Awards. I so enjoy taking the time to read up on each and every shortlisted business, and goodness there is some talent Up North. I can’t wait for the glitzy awards ceremony in January, and have my fingers tightly crossed for each and every shortlisted entrant.

It’s probably time to draw back the curtains and let the World in, so let’s get today off to a gorgeous start, by recapping what’s been floating this wedding blog’s boat this week.
