In line with the brighter springtime weather that’s started to appear this week, we‘re sharing this light, airy and elegant styled shoot which features gorgeous shades of peach and grey.
Reinforcing the term “wedding breakfast” stylist and planner Cynthia Adipue of Alegrar Events, turned tradition on its head for this shoot by showcasing how to create a morning wedding brunch with sophistication and style.
We love all elements, from the gorgeous bridal attire, hair and makeup, through to the soft and sugary wedding décor and details!
We’ll let Cynthia take a hold of the blogging reins now to tell us more about her vision and how she, and the rest of the shoot team, achieved it…
cynthia says: I titled this shoot ‘Morning Fresh’ because it has that real freshness feel to it. Often couples tend to have wedding breakfasts served in the late afternoon or evening, but I wanted to put a different spin on it and show what’s possible by creating a morning wedding brunch with style and sophistication for the elegant bride.
I found the venue for the shoot – Antenna Studios – almost by accident! Because of the nature of the shoot – morning with lots of natural light – I wanted somewhere with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows to maximise the natural light and to give our shoot that morning fresh feel and also somewhere with a bit of period character, old world feel to it. I saw a passing comment in one of the Facebook groups for venues and decided to check them out. Antenna Studios was the second on my list for review and when I saw it on the website, it fitted my vision for the shoot really well. I subsequently went down to do a site visit, and I’m glad to say, it didn’t disappoint!
In terms of styling, I wanted to retain the morning freshness of the shoot but still try something different with the colours of peach and grey – colours I have not seen much on the wedding scene – so that was the central theme. I added in hints of silver, copper and cream tones to bring the overall look together.
The flowers, created by Sarah Diamant Florist, consisted of silver brunias, a darker shade of peach ranunculus, peach roses, and some green tulips and foliage for the flowers that complemented the overall look so well.
