Adding some wedding styling with pizzazz to your Tuesday afternoon, we’re delighted to be sharing this incredibly beautiful styled shoot on our pages today.

Taking place at stunning new Nottinghamshire wedding venue, Hazel Gap Barn, located on the picturesque Welbeck Estate, we fell for this gorgeous set of images as soon as they landed in our inbox (and we think you will adore them too!)

Masterminded by super stylist What Katy Does, and captured by talented photographer Andrew Acford of A Big Neon Glitter Photography, this shoot provides first class inspiration for those of you planning rustic big days with boho edge.

With a little help from fellow skilful suppliers, Kate and Andrew pieced together their ‘bohemian wilderness’ vision perfectly, covering all elements; from décor to dress, setting to stems.

So, join us in this sublime location as we find out more about the team that made the magic happen…

andrew says: The inspiration behind the shoot was the beauty and wilderness found in the Welbeck Estate itself since Kate of What Katy Does, took her studio there earlier this year, she has been captured by its history and the enigmatic stories that it holds, its natural beauty and its amazing landscape.

Combining her love for organic, handmade and natural styling with my energy and artistic flare, we decided on a theme of ‘bohemian wilderness’ for this styled shoot, which showcases our work. The aim was to create images that captured the Proustian-like memories of the Estate, in all its splendour and wild beauty, with modern styling and clean lines. We were assisted in achieving our vision with the help of some lovely local suppliers and crafts people.

Kate loves working with seasonal, available and abundant hedgerow flowers and foliage, creating willow work and using natural materials to create her work. The newly constructed Hazel Gap Barn on the Welbeck Estate, provided the perfect backdrop to showcase her talents.

Hazel Gap is the latest high-profile wedding venue to open its doors in Nottinghamshire, and fitted all our needs perfectly with a never-ending choice of shooting locations all with a different feel; from the stunning ceremony room to the black barns, the gardens and woods beyond.

In terms of my shooting style, I love to take a less traditional approach, whether it’s a styled shoot or real weddings. Opting for natural light and a narrow depth of field wherever possible, I embrace the cinematic, the quirky and the unusual and think nothing of using props, such as the gold deer skull featured in the shoot.

The inspiration behind the styling was the abundance of nature, wilderness and the inspiring woodland that surrounds the Welbeck Estate. As always Kate used home grown, and seasonal foliage and flowers, coupled with handmade willow and bespoke stationery, and textiles to create a relaxed, natural and unique settings.

In true bohemian style, our model was bare foot. The dress she wore was by Raimon Bundo, from the 2017 Collection, which was kindly supplied by Frances Day Bridal. A long, sleeveless, floor-length gown with a high neckline. The dress looked sensational on our model, who is actually one of my brides for 2018. A simple A-line look but with tonnes of movement in the material coupled with a beautiful lace vest made it the perfect choice for the shoot.
