Life as a professional wedding blogger is actually a little different than I expected to be.  High level event planning, a busy blog and feature writing schedule, looking after sponsors and exhibitors and all that lovely admin that comes with running a business on a daily basis is time consuming stuff.  Rather than floating around on a cloud of tulle attending long lunches with fabulous people (yes, I did think self employment might be a bit like that) a lot of my days are spent putting in 12 hour shifts in a messy office, albeit a messy office overflowing with pretty wedding bits.  It’s not a tough life, granted, but it’s a busy one.

Once in a while though, a day comes along that is exactly what I thought a full time life as a professional wedding blogger would be (clouds of tulle, long lunches and all), and then all that hard work is so worth it.

I was very privileged to be the only wedding blogger invited to the launch of the Caroline Castigliano 2013 collection at the gorgeous Lace Bridal in Hale, Cheshire, followed by a private lunch with just the designer, the Lace Team and the talented Simon Rimmer at his beautiful eatery Earle – handily right next door!

An afternoon of to-die-for dresses was followed by a gorgeous gossip over a fantastic three course spread.  Trust me, if the Lace ladies look after their brides as well as they looked after me – and I very much suspect that they do – then you are in very good hands indeed.
