Spring might have finally sprung (can you feel it?!) but this morning we’re stepping into the romantic backdrop of Eaves Hall in Lancashire, for today’s sublime winter wedding.
Deciding on a timeless white and silver colour scheme complemented by plenty of twinkling fairy lights and a pared back setting, Sally and Chris’s wedding is the epitome of elegance and class. Add in some rather pretty gypsophila flowers, a hint of glitter and some delicious cupcakes and we think you’ll be swept away by Sally’s recount of their special day.

sally says: We got engaged in 2015, while in New York for Christmas. On the evening of Christmas Day, Chris took me to the Rockefeller tree and proposed there – it was the best trip of our lives.
We got married a year later, on Christmas Eve. Christmas is a special time for us, with it being the time we got together and also when we got engaged, so we thought, why not? We couldn’t think of anything better than being with all of our friends and family for Christmas.
We got married at Eaves Hall, Lancashire. We instantly fell in love with it when we visited. It is so unique and beautiful, and it makes the perfect Christmas venue.
We chose a winter white and silver theme, complemented by lots of Christmassy fairy lights.
I purchased my dress from Ava Rose Hamilton in Barrowford (now moved to Colne). I instantly fell in love with the gown because of the fabric. I wanted lace and I could have a lace top to go over it. I took this off for the night do, so it looked like two different dresses.
The bridal party stayed at the Eaves Hall lodge the night before the wedding while Chris hired a Range Rover from one of his friends to arrive at the venue in.

Today’s real wedding couple Matt and Steph, fell in love with their chosen venue at first sight knowing that it would be just perfect for the family focused big day they had in mind.
Pops of pastels were picked to complement their springtime theme, while personal touches were added to remember their most nearest and dearest, resulting in a pretty and sentimental celebration.
And if you like the look of Matt & Steph’s wedding images, we have some excellent news that might just make your Monday. The photographers who photographed the day, the fabulous Katie and James from Fairclough Photography, are offering our readers an amazing £200 off their full day wedding package for those that book before 30th June 2016. Just quote ‘BUN16’, when enquiring/booking.

steph says: We got engaged at the end of March 2014. We had arranged what I thought was a birthday meal for my sister in the restaurant we had our first date in. We had a gorgeous meal and a few wines and suddenly ‘our song’ came on in the back ground. I pointed it out to Matt and he just made this silly grin at me, and then there he was down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant with the most gorgeous ring in his hand. Neither of us spoke we just cried (like the big softies we are) – I’m not sure I’ve technically said yes yet.
We were married on 6th April 2016. We picked this date as it was the same date as our engagement party and we wanted it to be in the half term as Matt has two daughters and my sister works in a school. Generally, we just wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the build up to the wedding with us.
Our wedding venue was Eaves Hall in Clitheroe. I fell in love with it at first sight, it’s the only place that we looked at because in my mum’s words “it just doesn’t get any better than this”. It was intimate and cosy, just perfect for the family filled wedding we wanted.
The theme was spring, we just wanted it to be pretty and understated and a little bit country, so this worked well. To complement the theme we chose pastel shades for the colour scheme and incorporated lots of different pastel flowers and some gorgeous daffodils, adding a lovely splash of colour.
My dress was a lace A-line design, and lots bigger than I thought I would of picked! The train at the back was gorgeous and I spent most of the day swishing it around. I knew it was the dress for me when the lady in the shop went to help me out of it and I cried. My shoes were glittery blue shoes with a bow on the front from Irregular Choice. They were a gift from my sister (who was my maid of honour) as my something blue.
