My very good friend and recently engaged lady Charlotte has been throwing a few blog topic demands requests my way of late, and since I’m officially on “team bridesmaid” I thought that I had better take heed.

Charlotte and Matt are hosting an engagement party shortly, and Char has been looking for some outfit inspiration. Knowing that I spend half my time researching wedding pretty and the other half, ahem, online shopping (not really hubby – no overdrafts have been harmed in the writing of this post) she felt that I was the gal for the job.

So, what would you wear to your engagement party? You want to look special, perhaps with a nod to bridal styling, but you don’t want to be too bridal – it’s too early for that and it’s just not cool. Plus you’ll feel an idiot when all your friends turn up looking hot. My advice? Keep it on trend, pretty, a little flirty and a bit special.
