Interior Design
,
The initial consultation will last between 1 and 2 hours during which time I will gain an understanding of your personality, style, project budget, service requirements, timings etc. The Initial Consultation is FREE within a 25 mile radius of Manchester. For consultations booked outside this area there is a £60.00 travelling charged which must be received prior to the appointment day. The following services will be discussed:
.
1. Design Board, Schedule of works and basic costs – £250
In order to compile this board and quote I will need to spend several hours researching products and services and consulting with you by phone, email and in meetings. I will come to you and show you samples and discuss ideas until we are agreed and you are happy. The design board will bring together finalised wallpapers, floor coverings, paints, swatches of fabric, major pieces of furniture, tiles and carpets that will be used to complete the finished room. These items will also be detailed on the accompanying quote as basic prices eg price per roll/tin/sqm… I will not measure up and quote definitive costs at this stage as the £200 is for a basic idea of the look and feel. I may also give a feel for other accessories eg lighting accessories etc should the room require these things… but I won’t cost all of these out or get quotes for curtain making, electrics, joinery etc…
2. Additional Support – £30/hour
.
If after the final presentation you require me to carry out any more work, eg an exhaustive work schedule shopping and/or quotes, I will charge £30/hour.
.
3. Project Management – 10-20% of the total final project budget
The percentage depends on the complexity of the project and we will agree your individual rate at the Initial Consultation. Although, should the project be subject to revision and there are any significant changes to the nature or extent of the requested work this percentage will also be subject to revision. Petrol will be charged at 45p/mile in addition to the % fee.
This is basically the Turn-Key option – You provide me with a key and I deliver the concept we sign off on the Design Board.
Inspirit will be responsible for the following :
· Preparing a schedule of works
· Obtaining quotes
· Managing clients’ budgets.
· Research
· Managing and financing Trades – ensuring the relevant people are on site at the right time with the right equipment and materials
