Welcome to the weekend Brides Up North – maybe it’s not quite as long as we were getting used to, but still worth making the most of!  What are you up to today?

.

It’s a working holiday for me today as I am busy with lots of brilliant new blog features, plans, schemes and ideas…soon to be revealed in these pages.  All I will say is that its an exciting time for Brides Up North!

.

I know you have all been dying to find out who the winners in the Right Royal Giveaway Bonanza were and your wait is almost over!  Starting tomorrow, I’ll be announcing a winner a day in an extra blog post (how I spoil you!) every day at 12 noon.

.

Check back on Monday to see who gets to dress up on their day in a Mia Sposa Pronovias gown, worth up to £1,200 – completely free!  How awesome!  Good luck to all those who entered.

.

Meanwhile, lets see what else was going on in the blogosphere this week, with my weekly roundup of the best of the rest…my faves are a bit beachy this week, which probably tells me that it is time for a holiday! (don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere).

.

Proof of two of my favourite theories.  First – keeping it simple can be so effective.  Second – if you are going to use petals to style your aisle, go to town with it.

I just adore orchids (in fact, I used them in my own Real Wedding to great effect).  This beautiful and classically styled wedding  combines elegance with simplicity perfectly.  It all looks so gorgeously expensive.

And to finish off this week – something that I think is really really cool, via Junebug Weddings

.

.

Just wow!  How I would have loved to be at this couple’s wedding.  (Or really, just to be their friends, or have a little bit of their coolness rub off on me…ha ha!)

.

They only went and made a wedding music video.  To the Black Eyed Peas.  And they only went and pulled it off superbly.

.

Trust me, you will want to watch this again and again, forward it to your friends and think about how you can make your own…just A.W.E.S.O.M.E!

I love the Black Eyed Peas and that looked like so much fun to do. I showed my fiance the video and he loved it so much he wants to look into doing something like that for our wedding!!! I can’t wait for Monday as I would so love to win the dress from Mia Sposa. I am keeping everything crossed. Good luck to all the girls who have entered x x
