Wahey!  It’s Friday.  And not only that – it’s Good Friday: no work for you!  Whatever you are up to today, I hope you are starting the long weekend in the best way that you can think of.  For me, that will be a bacon sarnie in bed, no earlier than 10am sil-vous-plait.

It’s not really a day off for me though as the wedding blog keeps humming and the Northern Revolution keeps rumbling on… and it’s all about the fun factor today as we join two bubbly blondes – Sarah & Sarah – of Brides Up North Featured Supplier Limelight Photobooth Hire as they talk parties, pictures and posing.

Tell us all about Limelight PhotoBooth Hire and your service?

.

We are based in Northallerton in North Yorkshire and have been up and running for the last twelve months, successfully hiring out photo booths to all sorts of events across the region. We proudly cater for any type of event including birthdays and weddings, the latter being the most popular.

Clients tend to hire out one of the booths for three or four hours and their guests can then jump inside the booth and take as many photographs as they please. It’s all automated and simple to use, the booth takes four consecutive photographs of various poses, enhanced with our ’box of props’ of wigs, hats and glasses. The images are then printed out almost instantly for the guest to take away as a memento of the day. The images are a double strip of four enabling one copy for keeps and the other for the guestbook, which is included in all wedding packages and can be added to a party package. The guestbook is really what it’s all about, looking over it afterwards and seeing your friends and family as well as reading their charming messages.

What can a Bride and Groom who book you for their big day expect?

.

A lot of fun! People love the idea of being able to close the curtain and have a little privacy to pose away doing whatever they please, they really lose their inhibitions. From the moment the first couple of pictures are taken and people begin circulating the wedding party clutching their pictures everyone wants a go. We are often begged to stay longer at the end of the evening! We love to listen to the guests laughing behind the curtain attracting more eager participants. The bride and groom will see the side of their friends and family they know and love which is what makes it so enjoyable.

At the end of the evening the Bride and Groom are presented with their guest book, which is an album filled with a copy of every picture taken and messages from their family and friends. Our attendants look after this on the evening to ensure it is a good standard. We also send a disc of all the images after the wedding for the happy couple to use at they please.

Do you supply props?

.

Unless the bride and groom request us not to, yes we do. Our attendants bring a large selection of kooky glasses, afro wigs, hats and blow up items. It sounds a little tacky but it really is just a bit if fun, people cannot resist the dress up box!

How many people can fit into the booth?

.

Our booths are not your typical ‘passport booth’ they are large, curved and luxurious looking. You can fit 3 comfortably on the seat with room for 2 kneeling up in front. The group shots are always the best with everyone crammed in trying to make themselves seen in the photos, it’s surprising how ‘comfortable’ everyone becomes with each other. I think that is what makes the booths such a great ice breaker as everyone is so busy laughing at themselves and each other.

How long do you stay at the wedding venue?

.

We offer two packages as standard for a three hour hire and a four hour hire. We do tend to contact the venue and arrange suitable timings and they advise on roughly the order of the day and when it’s convenient to arrive.

The longest hire we have done is five hours and some serious picture taking was done in this time. We always arrive an hour before the start of the running time, and then stay as long as it takes afterwards to take it down. This offers assurance to us and the hosts that they are getting what they have paid for. There are always two attendants per hire as we feel it makes things flow more smoothly. One attendant will look after the guest book and the other can help all the guests in and out of the booth.

How many photos are included and what happens to all the images afterwards?

.

Every hire includes unlimited photos, guests can visit the photo booth as many times as they wish and get as many photos as they want.

The following day (usually!) the photos are uploaded onto our website onto the bride and grooms own special gallery for their guests to view all the images taken on the night, this can have a password on if the couple wish for some privacy. We also put them onto the Facebook website (at the discretion of the couple) in which everyone can then ‘tag’ their images and leave their comments or use them as their profile pictures. The majority of our customers really love this part of our service as it is all just a bit of harmless fun!

Where are you located?  Will you travel?

.

We are based in Northallerton which is in North Yorkshire and offer free delivery of the booth within a 50 mile radius, there is a travel charge added after this. We travel the whole country but find most of our clientele up in the North of England. We spent a weekend in London before Christmas which made for a nice getaway but we do prefer to be closer to home for ease.

Can you give Brides Up North an idea on price?

.

Our prices begin at £425 for a weekday three hour hire and then they go up for weekends and additional hours. These prices include everything mentioned above. As brides ourselves we realised that people shouldn’t pay the earth for such a fun and fabulous addition to a wedding or party, we cater to all budgets.

Who would you most like to photograph in your booth?

.

I (Sarah W) would like someone like Lydia Bright (TOWIE) I adore her style and she’d undoubtedly bring the whole cast with her, which would make for an entertaining evening. I shouldn’t like TOWIE but I just can’t help myself!

.

(Sarah A) For me I think it would have to be Kate Middleton, which would be some party, observing the most important people in the realm doing what normal people do would be great stories for the grandchildren. I suppose there’s always Prince Harry’s wedding to hope for, watch this space.

Are you married?  Tell us about your day?

.

I am not as yet (Sarah W) this will hopefully be funding it sometime next year or the year after depending on the budget and also work as we are booking up for 2013 already!

(Sarah A) I am thrilled to be in the midst of planning my own wedding at the moment and doing this as a job while planning your own is pretty special. It has given me so many ideas not to mention create such excitement for my special day. Nothing satisfies me more than being a part of a truly fabulous day, not once have I encountered an unhappy bride.

Are the booths also available for hen parties or engagement parties?

.

Yes most definitely our photo booths are available for events of any kind. Why not have one for the Engagement, Hen party and the wedding, document every occasion! The whole concept of the fun images and the guestbook addition enables everlasting memories of any special event on any calendar.
