So, this time last week, the very next day after the excellent Brides Up North Tweet Up Yorkshire (see all the official images from that event by clicking here), I was back on the road again in a North Westerly direction to throw a little party for all my North West wedding industry colleagues at The Belle Époque in the beautiful town of Knutsford.
.
The bunting was flying on arrival, and after even more heavy lifting than the day before, decorating galore and a swift makeover in the ladies’ toilets, I was ready to rock and roll.

For those of you who are new readers of Brides Up North (and you are gathering in your thousands month on month – hello there!) I explained in my post about my Yorkshire event exactly what a Tweet Up is and why they are important, so I’ll keep it brief this afternoon. Basically these events are a chance for me to say a huge thank you to all the wedding industry friends and colleagues who have supported the growth of Brides Up North so wholeheartedly and have allowed me to keep bringing the wedding pretty your way twice a day as well as hosting the larger Brides Up North events especially for everyone out there sporting a sparkler on their ring finger.
.
These not for profit events are a chance for the industry (many of whom are individuals working hard – and sometimes holding down another job too – from their kitchen table) to get together, exchange connections and boost their business – meaning bigger and better things for the Northern wedding industry at large and ultimately for the most important people of all: the bride and groom. That means you.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of my amazing team of wedding industry wonders, so lets have a few snaps for them today.

First up, a big thank you to Collette from The Belle Époque for letting me use her beautiful venue for the event. The rooms, staff and cute Knutsford setting are just perfect. If you are looking for an individual venue that adds a touch of glamour and has an intimate feel, The Belle Époque, with its beautiful rooms, cool bar and pretty roof garden is an excellent choice.

Marvellous North West wedding photographer Martin Hambleton Photography captured the whole event on camera. Thank you so much to Martin not only for such a brilliant record of the evening and turning the photographs round so bloomin’ quickly, but also for holding a camera all night when everyone else was sloshing back the vino. I’m sure he snuck a cheeky glass or two in though, right Martin?

Sugar based treats in the form of the most beautiful occasion cake with pink and purple peonies and the loveliest cupcake displays were provided by the wonderful Francesca at The Cheshire Cat Cake Company and EmmyLou at LilyBud Cupcakes respectively. You gals are amazing at what you do, and will always find a way to my heart by plying me with cake. Huge thanks too to Pretty Little Trio for supplying their gorgeous vintage cake stands for EmmyLou’s display.

I don’t know what I’d do without my great friends Kelly and Colette at All Wrapped Up Events. These chicks not only brought their amazing vintage sweetie cabinet along with them, but lent me a whole host of props and goodies for venue dressing and a foto fun area. These two are true professionals who will always go that extra mile for their client. Get them booked.

Stunning floral displays from Laura at Laurel Weddings twinkling with crystals and hanging gems brought the outside in, so even though it was pouring down outside we had an indoor paradise of pink and purple blooms. I am always stunned at the talents of my Featured Suppliers. You can find Laurel Weddings on the Florists page in my Directory.
.
Jo from Simply Bows & Chair Covers also gave her own time (between dashing to other set ups) to bring my brand colours to life using glorious sashes and table runners. Thank you so much Jo!

We were entertained all evening by the wonderful talents that make up Fonix Music. Just wow! Taylor and Al kept spirits high and feet tapping all night long.

And last but not least a big thank you to Wedding Ideas Magazine for supporting my concept from the outset, lending their support to these events and letting every guest take home a copy of their brand new issue! Hopefully a good hangover read…
