Getting the day off to a gorgeous start, our regular guest blogger Katy of What Katy Did Next is back with a peacock inspired Wednesday Wed-spiration mood board that has got our feathers all of a flutter here at Brides Up North HQ.

Katy says: Bride Fiona contacted me and requested possibly one of the hardest boards I have put together yet! Fiona marries in November and is having Indian and Scottish influences with peacock blue as a main colour with flashes of hot pink and lime! Not one to pass up a challenge, I have created a jewel toned affair with subtle Scottish hints and luxurious pops of peacock…

With the beautiful colour palette Fiona provided I leaned towards intricate Indian detailing using coloured glass lanterns which would make amazing centrepieces. Alternatively you could have a chilled out seating area for your guests with the soft lighting of hanging lanterns and colourful cocktails. The gorgeous name place baubles from Cox and Cox flow with the theme perfectly and are priced at £12.50 for a pack of 10.

Taking away the colour but carrying on the pattern is the Marchesa bridal gown which could be brightened up with coloured statement earrings and beautiful peacock B
blue shoes.

Fiona is having hot pink roses and lime lilies in her bouquet – to reflect the peacock blue you could frame the bouquet with peacock feathers! As a nod to the Scottish theme why not add a few purple thistles? I also added a fun ring pillow with a lime and hot pink tartan ribbon! The pillow is handmade so you could even ask the designer to use peacock blue fabric in place of the white.
