An Era of Experience is a travelling vintage hen party service created by the collaboration of four local Manchester businesses. Separately, they each run unique ventures of their own but have decided to join forces to offer an authentic vintage experience for celebratory occasions. United by their passion for vintage, the team of four spotted a gap in the market for quirky, intimate socials that women of all ages can enjoy.

An Era of Experience allows guests to choose from a selection of iconic eras including 1920’s Speakeasy Socials, 1930’s Art-Deco and Fabulous 40’s & 50’s parties. The Era of Experience team carefully research the chosen era and tailor their individual input to reflect the period. Each Era of Experience social includes interactive activities such as creative headwear workshops and vintage styling as well as a gourmet selection of nibbles and soft tipples.

Boutique bake house, And the Dish Ran Away With the Spoon will design a food menu inspired by the chosen party theme. Drawing on popular flavours and memoirs of the time, each gourmet baked treat will be named to represent the chosen era. The mouth-watering morsels and delicious delicacies will be showcased on a beautiful selection of original vintage china, hand-picked from For the Love of Vintage’s extensive collection.

Bespoke accessories designer, Silver Sixpence in her Shoe will run an interactive, creative workshop in which guests with have the opportunity to create a piece of headwear to take away with them. A beautiful selection of luxury, vintage fabrics, pretty embellishments, plush goose feathers, unique buttons, rare pearls, jewels and gems will be displayed in beautiful, old glassware and labelled accordingly. Using a selection of her own designs, Silver Sixpence will share her sewing skills, secret tips and offer guidance to the guests to help them achieve their headwear.

Bethany Jane Davies of The Vintage Beauty Parlour will perform vintage make-overs for each of the guests. Taking inspiration from iconic film stars, she will use her styling expertise to create original victory rolls, bouffants, fingerwaves and pincurls. She will also give tutorials in authentic make-up application.

The Era of Experience ladies can bring their vintage services to your home, hotel or chosen venue within Manchester. They are able to travel on request outside of the city for a small charge of 40 pence per mile, per vehicle.
