Golden Bubbles! A Real Marquee Wedding In The North West – Vanessa & Dan

I think it’s high time for another beautiful Real Wedding, don’t you?  Thought so.

And this one is a cracker.

This afternoon’s feature, sent to me by Anna Louise Crossley and real bride Vanessa, is jam packed with sensational details.  Super stylish Vanessa and Dan chose a classic colour scheme with dashes of lace and lashings of champagne for their love and laughter filled marquee wedding.

This is one wedding that I would love to have been invited to.  Vanessa, will you be my friend?

Vanessa says: Dan asked me to marry him at home in May 2011 and we were married on 26th August 2012 at St Michaels church in Dalton, Wigan and then the reception in a Marquee in Dan’s parents garden which is also in Dalton.

Dan’s parents have an amazing garden and we thought a marquee would work for us as we could have the day exactly how we wanted it without any restrictions. Also, we only decided to get married in January 2012 so most of the venues we looked at were already booked for 2012 weddings.  We opted for a mainly black and ivory colour scheme.

I had a lace Elie Saab dress from Eternity Bridal in Warrington. They are amazing and I would recommend them to anybody.  I finished the look off with a pair of gold Jimmy Choo heels.  I carried a bunch of cream roses, which Dan’s mum made. 

.

The guys wore morning suits from The Bride & Groom in Preston and my bridesmaids were in floor length black lace.

I travelled to the church and back in a Rolls Royce Phantom, which was on loan from a friend.

We used Marcus Moore for the catering and Best Marquees provided the marquee. Dan’s mum made the cake and did all the flowers.

We had a guitarist Tim Chu who played throughout the canapés and meal and then a group and DJ for our evening reception. 

.

.

We wanted everybody to enjoy themselves – I think everybody did and it was a great party atmosphere all day.

I loved every minute of the day from start to finish.

.

After the wedding we honeymooned in Majorca, but unfortunately it rained every day!

My top tip for other Brides Up North would be to try not to get too stressed beforehand and enjoy every second as it goes too quickly.
