Rebecca says: When planning my wedding, I found it very difficult to find the right head piece to compliment my 1930’s style dress. I knew I didn’t want a veil, but couldn’t afford the bespoke prices of a milliner. As a tailor by trade I thought I would have a go at making my own. From this Rebecca Jagger Millinery & Accessories was born.
My designs are completely hand made by me, all hand sewn, meaning each piece is bespoke. I use the most luxurious silks and soft feminine veiling, which give a lovely vintage feel to my pieces.
For my first photo shoot we used the beautiful venue Holdsworth House in Halifax, where we made the most of the gorgeous surroundings. I got to work with some very talented ladies, and we got fabulous photographs.
Nicola says: Our inspiration for the shoot was a vintage 1920’s glamour, the setting was beautiful and the model was amazing, even through the cold and the rain! As a team, we have another shoot planned for the spring, just waiting for the weather to cheer up first…
I have been a photographer for many years, but it is only within the last two years that I decided to take the leap to set up my own business. I love covering weddings that are a little bit different, quirky or unusual and my style is quite informal and relaxed. I like to capture the essence of the day in a way that complements the Bride and Groom. Alongside weddings, I still work on personal projects and have an exhibition in the pipeline due for April.
