This afternoon we meet husband and wife-to-be Jason and Hannah, as they share with us their love story and the results of their stunning engagement shoot. Set to tie the knot in rural North Yorkshire this summer, Jason and Hannah decided to have a pre-wedding shoot to ensure they were relaxed in front of the camera on the big day to come.
Looking at these images we think it’s safe to say that they accomplished their goal – talk about model behaviour, they look like a pair of pros to us!

hannah says: We got engaged on Bravaro Beach in the Dominican Republic on 3rd July 2015. Jason had snuck the ring by hiding it in a pair of socks and then nervously had it hidden in his pocket the night that he proposed. It was a big surprise when Jason got down on one knee and popped the question.
We are getting married on 15th July 2016 at the Pheasant Hotel in Harome, North Yorkshire.
We first met each other back in May 2010 when we were working together on a summer play scheme. Our first dates were walks along the beach with Henry the dog. We spent time getting to know each other first but there was always a spark!
I knew Jason was the one when he came to see me at university in Sheffield every two weeks and during all of his holidays from work. Jason says that he knew there was something very special about me the first time we spoke!
The thing I love most about Jason is that he always takes care of me and makes sure that I’m happy.
jason says: If I had to pick just the one thing that I love most about Hannah it would be her kind and supportive attitude towards everything I do, plus the fact that she’s gorgeous helps too! That said she does have the odd annoying little habit, such as dropping extra pots into the sink when I’m in the process if washing up.
hannah says: Jason has a fair few annoying habits too – the main being that he has no memory what so ever so I have to repeat everything a million times! He’s a workaholic too!
Our biggest wish for married life is simply to live happily ever after!
We decided to have a pre-wedding shoot so that we meet our photographer properly and also to make sure that we felt comfortable in front of the camera for the wedding photos. We absolutely loved the engagement shoot! Our photographer Nicola was amazing! It has made us really excited for our wedding photos – we will be keeping them forever, printing as many as possible and getting a few canvases too!
During the wedding planning I’ve found Brides Up North to be a really useful tool to find suppliers and to get ideas for their big day.
