Those talented North West wedding suppliers have been busy once again creating a gorgeous styled shoot to help inspire your big day choices; covering everything from the dress to the décor.

This styled shoot was primarily put together to help showcase a stunning new venue to the county of Cheshire, The Holford Estate. Set within 130 acres of beautiful countryside, the venue’s newly refurbished Holford Barn made the perfect backdrop for the suppliers to showcase their skills, products and services.

Inspired by the features and materials of the barn, stylist Rebecca Jenkinson of Pretty Little Trio Vintage Hire & Styling, worked with fellow artistic suppliers to create a relaxed yet glamourous big day look, which both complemented and enhanced the shoot setting.

To explain more about how the various looks that were created, we’ll let Rebecca do the talking…

rebecca says:

The shoot was a collaboration of North West wedding suppliers at a beautiful and unique new venue in Cheshire, The Holford Estate. The venue is a stunning barn conversion, surrounded by stable blocks and beautiful grounds. It’s quite opulent, rather than rustic in style, and so we took that as our steer for the shoot and aimed for relaxed, elegant glamour.

There is a stunning copper staircase that cascades into the barn itself and little copper gold mice in the old brickwork of the barn, so we wanted to work with the lovely metallics and the warm colours in the brickwork around us.

There is also beautiful black and white timber framed building in the grounds, and formal gardens, which gave us the idea for black and white florals and foliage, stationery, mojitos and, of course, the friendly black and white horse in the stables.

The gorgeous dresses were supplied by Helen at 7th Heaven Bridal. We were really spoilt for choice with the dresses as Helen stocks so many gorgeous designer gowns, such as Charlotte Balbier, Sophia Tolli and Ronald Joyce.

All the amazing florals were created by Heather and the girls at Living Colour Floral Design; along the staircase, the tables, the arch, stunning bouquets and button holes. There was literally flowers and pretty black and geometric copper candles and vases everywhere you looked!

Our ‘bride’s’ hair and makeup was taken care of by Clare at Harry Jon. We went for a loose, sleek look for the daytime style and later she created an updo for the evening style.

Our ‘groom’ wore Whitfield & Ward; again we chose a smart formal look for the daytime with a very handsome black suit with bow tie for the cool evening style.

We tried to create lots of ideas and looks to inspire, with an outdoor aisle with the beautiful floral arch, as well as an indoor ceremony and wedding breakfast. As a nod to the elegant theme, I styled a ‘style your sparkle’ champagne bar, on a vintage tea trolley with fruit, berries and pretty champagne saucers, as an alternative to a sweetie bar.

The barn was laid out for a ceremony and then also for a full wedding breakfast, with gorgeous gold platters, gold cutlery and elegant glass wear, all from Marc at Whitehouse Event Crockery. The tables were finished with more stunning florals by Living Colour Floral Design and stationery by Heather Renshaw. All the chairs were supplied by Chairman Hire Company.

Beneath the amazing copper staircase in the barn we dressed the room with light up love letters by The Word is Love, which proved to also be a fantastic backdrop for the cake by Time for Sweetpea.

This was the very first styled shoot to have taken place at The Holford Estate and we do hope the Brides Up North readers love it as much as we do!
