There’s no denying that planning a wedding is an exciting experience, but it can be a little overwhelming too with so many venues and suppliers to choose from.

To help you whittle down your search to suppliers for your style of wedding, guest numbers and budget, we’re introducing you to our helpful Sponsor Perfect Planner.

This easy-to-use site offers a fairy-godmother style planning tool that matches couples with suppliers which meet their individual requirements at the click of a button. It also has an array of handy organising features to help brides and grooms keep track of everything from the table plan to the guest list.

To explain more about the benefits that Perfectplanner.co.uk offers, we’re handing over the blog this afternoon to its managing director, Sham Mahmood.

When and why was Perfect Planner set up and what does it want to bring to the wedding industry?

sham says:

Perfect Planner officially launched in May 2016. Our journey, however, began in September 2013 shortly after my wife and I were married.

From our market research, we were driven to create the perfect wedding tool which would connect couples and suppliers. At Perfect Planner, our core values are to create an enjoyable experience for the wedding couple. This entails creating increased transparency between the couple and the supplier(s).

What makes Perfect Planner different to other online wedding planning sites?

Perfect Planner is the only wedding website to use key details in a single search to match couples with suppliers that meet their requirements. We ask users to simply provide information regarding their budget, the type of wedding, number of guests, location and time of year. This information is processed and the users are provided with a list of suitable service providers to contact.

As for wedding suppliers, our website allows businesses to create various packages to present to couples. This includes; summer, winter, bronze, silver and gold packages.

What are the main benefits of couples using Perfect Planner?

Our main benefits include; single search feature, direct comparisons between suppliers and specific search results.

The feature we are most proud of is the integrated budget tool. This allows couples to allocate a set amount of funds to each aspect of their wedding day. This information is then processed and the website will automatically exclude all results out with their budget.

Can you tell us about the venue and supplier services that Perfect Planner offers to brides and grooms?

Our tool keeps the user in total control from beginning to end. This means that as soon as you enter your details into our search feature, the Perfect Planner tool will match you up against suppliers across 12 services. You can then work your way through each category and find your perfect match!

Couples will often find that some venues will offer in-house services, such as catering and décor, if that is the case then we will present this under our packages area. This increases the transparency between the couple and supplier.

And what about the tools that Perfect Planner offers to help couples organise their big days?

Perfect Planner caters for all aspects of the couple’s big day and we continue to add new features to improve the users’ experience. Currently we have four additional planning features; the integrated budget tool, a combined table plan and guest list tool and finally the “add to plan” section, which allows you to add your favourites to one area.

We will be releasing more than ten new features to Perfect Planner very soon, so watch this space!

How do you critique the suppliers and venues that appear on the site to ensure they offer a quality and trusted service?

Quality is key in our industry. We are currently hand-selecting all suppliers which feature on PerfectPlanner.co.uk. We ensure all packages published by suppliers undergo our quality assurance checks.

Can couples contact the suppliers and venues that are featured directly?

Yes. This is the good-old debate of integrated mailboxes versus direct communication! Given my experience, and the experience of our target market, there is a resounding favour towards direct communication. This allows you to contact the supplier via email or telephone. This also reduces the delays in communication, as the supplier isn’t managing two or three different mailboxes!

How are the packages offered and prices quoted put together?

All prices and packages are constructed by the wedding suppliers. This thrives on the need for increased clarity. Access to pricing is often a difficult area within the wedding industry, this is due to the bespoke nature of most services. Our tool allows the supplier to create several variations of their business, so you will often find a cheaper or more expensive option offered by the same supplier.

What is the feedback like from brides and grooms that use Perfect Planner? What do they love about it?

We have received amazing feedback from the wedding couples as well as wedding suppliers:

“This makes our life so much easier”

“Pure genius”

“This idea keeps you in control, and it also protects your budget!”

What advice would you offer to couples when first starting to plan a wedding?

Your wedding day will be the best day in your life, so remember to enjoy every moment! Communication between you and your partner is key, so keep a list that you both have access to, with the cloud everything is possible!
