While brides can’t always reply on the British weather to brighten their big day, they can look to our fabulous Sponsor, natural confetti experts Shropshire Petals, to bring a pretty pop of colour to the proceedings.
With an unbelievable amount of fabulous hues to choose from, couples can pick one of Shropshire Petal’s readymade mixes for their all-important confetti-shot moment, or alternatively create their own using the online ‘pick and mix’ tool to put a personal touch on their petals.
As well as a range of colours, brides and grooms can also choose how their confetti is presented to their guests, with everything from cute hessian Petal Pouches and pretty paper cones, to individual sachets and flower girl baskets on offer. Plus, new for 2016 is the Confetti Pop – the perfect solution for a showering burst of brightness following the ceremony.
Now to inspire us further on how punchy-coloured petals can help add some clout to your confetti shot, Shropshire Petals are taking over the blog with their top five bright and beautiful mixes…
mix of the month
Here at Shropshire Petals we have a special confetti mix for every month to show just how creative and unique you can make your confetti. Our August Mix of the Month was a particularly stunning combination of ivory, pink and orange, that’s bound to make an impact on the big day. This marvellous mix is made up from our Icing Sugar, Raspberry Fool, Ginger Snap and Cerise petals.
The brighter your confetti the more it will stand out in your photos. However, if you don’t want too much colour but still want the brightness, a simple mixture of ivory and yellow is perfect. This mix will be subtle enough not to impose on your photos but bright enough to create the vibrancy you are looking for.
purple is the new pink
Purple has been a popular colour choice for weddings for a few years now, as much as pink, if not more. This gorgeous mix – made using Candy Floss, Frosted Blue and Parma Violet petals – will suit a purple or pink themed wedding with its pale pink boldly standing out amongst the purple rose petals and pale blue delphiniums.
The world is your oyster with the amount of colours to choose from. Why not get creative and mix several colours together. We think a fabulous combination would be Sunshine Kisses, Candy Floss and Frosted Blue petals with some mixed larger petals added in, such as Flamingo Pink, Delilah, Wisteria, Golden Slumber, Duck Egg and Buttermilk. Bold, bright and beautiful!
To really make your confetti stand out; choose a mix with bright colours with a touch of darkness such as yellows and blacks. A stunning blend of Tuxedo, Honey’B and Buttermilk is sure to wow on your confetti photos.
