Today on the blog we’re sharing the cool engagement shoot of newlyweds Amy and Sukh.
Captured in the Baltic Triangle District of Liverpool, we love how laidback these two high school sweethearts are in front of the camera, looking totally in loved up with even the edgy backdrop not enough to distract them from one another.
Just goes to show that teenage romances can still go the distance!

amy says: We got engaged after moving into our new house. Sukh had covered the walls of the living room in fairy lights and lit candles and we were drinking champagne. I thought it was all to celebrate moving in so I wasn’t aware of what was coming next. I walked over to the fairy lights to make sure he hadn’t damaged my new living room wall and when I turned round he was on his knee. I couldn’t believe it, I kept asking if he was serious before remembering I was supposed to say yes!
We first met in school and have been together since we were just 15-years-old.
As we were teenagers when we got together our early dates consisted of going to each other’s houses, sitting in parks and the occasional trip to the cinema. Though we were young, we fell in love with each other straight away.
What I love most about Sukh is how caring he is, and also how spontaneous he is too. He does have some bad habits though – in particular snoring and not cleaning up after himself.
Sukh says he loves me for being strong, caring and completely honest – though my lengthy bathroom routine can drive him up the wall as he usually ends up waiting an hour before he can get his slot in the bathroom!
Having said our “I dos” at West Tower in Lancashire, on 18th July this year, our biggest wish for married life is to continue our lives as before we were married – growing happier every day and totally content with our lot in life.
We chose to have a pre-wedding shoot ahead of the big day as we thought it would be a great way to make our engagement official. We also wanted an image for our wedding guests to sign on the day.
The engagement shoot with Ian and Hazel was great – they made us feel totally at ease and the location was fantastic. Our guests signed a large version of our favourite image on our wedding day and we have some wonderful images to look back on.
During the planning process visiting the Brides up North blog gave me lots of ideas and inspiration for our wedding – it also made sure I didn’t forget anything!
