A stately home might not be the first venue that springs to mind when you think of a tropical inspired wedding, but today’s creative shoot is bringing exotic beachy feels to North Yorkshire!
Set at Rudby Hall, the shoot is all about zesty, bright palettes brought to life with fabulous florals and foliage, gorgeous stationery and extravagant styling with hints of gold. The team – led by Rebecca from The Countryside Florist – wanted the wow factor.
The models – featuring a real-life couple too – showcase gowns and tailoring that’s in keeping with the decadent backdrop, with accents of orange and hot pink.

Theme & location
The Countryside Florist says: What do you get when you combine a handpicked selection of North Yorkshire’s finest wedding suppliers, a beautiful privately owned stately home set in acres of breathtaking scenery, and a glorious sunny day? I think these spectacular photos demonstrate the answer to that!
With a theme of tropical opulence, the suppliers worked together to ensure their offering perfectly complemented every element of the day. Flowers were the central focus of the shoot, with them being prominent around the whole venue.
I had a vision of punchy pinks, vibrant oranges and deep mustard tones, alongside palms and zesty lime green foliage to really work with the gold accents of the Drawing Room, and ‘wow’ guests at the Evening Showcase held that day. The vision came to life when combined with the luscious velvet tablecloth in deep jade green and coordinating chair backs and gold charger plates, all provided by Sam from Sheer Elegance Wedding and Events.
No wedding is complete without stationery and Sarah from Sarah Alexis Stationery took the colour scheme and ran with it! She created a whole host of eye-catching and unique pieces, from menus to place cards, invites to table plans, all in the perfect colours to suit the whole event.
As for the cake, Gabriella from Gabriella Grace Cakes excelled herself with gold tipped regal ruffles, and hand crafted sugar flowers to match the real blooms of the day.
Our wonderful models (our real life couple Rachel and Ben, and the lovely Charlotte, alongside Nicholas of Dandy Threads) looked amazing in all their finery.
With suits from Dandy Threads looking super smart and in keeping with the rest of the theme with touches of orange or hot pink, our gentlemen really looked the part.
The dresses were provided by the wonderful ladies from Joanne Kay Bridal Boutique, and goodness they were divine. Rachel wore a couple of different dresses, each complementing her shape and full of intricate detail. Charlotte wore a stunning structured dress with a beautiful pattern on the skirt.
Sophie at The Salon Redcar created an uber dramatic hairstyle for Charlotte to match the design of the dress completely, and helping to create a moody tone for the photos. For Rachel, soft and relaxed hairstyles really suited our loved-up couple.
Makeup, by Samantha Waring, was delicate for each bride and totally suited their features and enhanced the natural beauty of each model.
The whole day was captured in both film and photo. Film was by Allan from Strike a Pose Wedding Movies, who blended into the background the whole day, and caught some brilliant behind the scenes footage.
Meanwhile, the photography was by Emma Marie Photography and as you can see, these images are absolutely breathtaking. She put our models at ease and was always enthusiastic and working hard to find the next perfect shot.
When it comes to hospitality, the whole team at Rudby Hall go out of their way to make you welcome, as all us suppliers experienced that on the day of the shoot. It really made for a relaxed (albeit hard!) day. The shoot really was a feat of organisation from a handful of dedicated and determined wedding professionals. As a group, we all hope you adore what we created as much as we do, and would love you to explore every supplier involved.
