We’re getting glam wedding vibes from today’s styled shoot – elegant, classic and with a touch of sparkle – not a hint of macramé or pampas grass in sight!
This styled shoot has reinforced our love of all things traditional and wedding-y, with arrangements of refined white avalanche roses and pretty lisianthus, heaps of deep green foliage and heavenly scented eucalyptus, and enough gold and sparkle to see us through the coming winter season.
All this traditional styling has been perfectly brought up to date with touches like the neon Just Married sign, even surrounded by the idyllic romantic candlelight from a bygone era, adding a bit of edge to the classic look! Watch out for lots of our UNVEILED Network Members making an appearance too!

The team say: To have the opportunity to be creative and showcase our work at a time when we were unable to due to Coronavirus and the lack of weddings taking place. The theme of the shoot was Timeless Elegance, using classic colours of white and gold with lots of greenery.
UNVEILED Network Member Inspired By Lisa, based in Rudyard, created the stationery for the shoot, which featured a luxury gold foil card combined with gold leaf, gold eyelets and champagne glitter and contemporary fonts throughout. Place names, menus and table numbers were styled with folded napkins and luxury crockery and tableware to create personalised settings. A mix of timeless classic white florals and foliage were used in both table plan arrangements. Vintage style gold frames were used with a combination of contemporary gold leaf and textured card. A more traditional style table plan with a luxury ornate gold frame was also finished with foliage and displayed under a beautiful large floral frame for impact.
Based in Whaley Bridge but covering the whole of the North of England and beyond, Buttercup Cakes specialises in beautiful, elegant, timeless wedding cakes with a contemporary feel. The main cake for our shoot had an aged white textured stone effect. It had a narrow gold leaf tier to represent a wedding band and to give a touch of luxury, and was decorated with beautiful, white, handmade sugar roses and trailing sugarcraft foliage to fit with the white, gold and green colours of the shoot. The favours were macarons decorated with edible gold leaf and also cute mini cupcakes with gold decoration. We also used two other cakes to show some different styles, but all reflecting the timeless, elegant theme.
Props were courtesy of Wild Peak Events, based in Glossop but working far and wide. We chose props that were classic, elegant and romantic to complement the white and gold themed shoot. The wooden arch and calligraphy banner looked amazing when placed as a ceremony backdrop within the gardens. It was dressed with the most beautiful floral arrangement by Helen from Taylor Made Blooms. We also wanted to show couples how they can repurpose their chosen wedding props from ceremony to reception, by suspending the calligraphy banner within the venue and reusing the arch to frame both the cake and the seating plan, and create beautiful photo opportunities. The rustic welcome sign and easel paired with foliage and candles, created a warm entrance to the venue. The ‘Just Married’ neon was the perfect prop to use within the venue and when Chelsea took the image of the sign through the candlelight, the results were just magical.
Taylor Made Blooms specialise in bespoke wedding florals, designing unique, natural flower designs. For this amazing shoot we wanted to reflect a classic, elegant style with a touch of luxury. Using beautiful florals with a white and green theme, fluffy hydrangeas, cool white lisianthus, beautiful avalanche roses and stunning glossy anthuriums were used in the designs. They complemented the rich lush green foliage of eucalyptus, senecio and beech. The smell was amazing. A gorgeous archway stood out in the courtyard and beautiful venue designs, along with some gold props, set the scene for our collaboration.
The shoot went brilliantly. We were even blessed with dry weather! The aim was to show a classic, elegant style, with a touch of luxury. Boho styling is everywhere at the moment, and isn’t for everyone. We aimed to showcase each of the suppliers equally and we all worked together to achieve this. It was a great day, with a wonderful group of friendly and talented suppliers. It was fantastic to be able to get creative during a year when we’ve had little opportunity to do this!
