If winter’s got you feeling a little chilly, come in, get your cosy socks on, snuggle up by the roaring fire and have a little peruse of the images we’ve got in store for you. We guarantee it’ll warm even the frostiest of cockles.
With a venue that offers enough space for couples to choose between an indoor or an outdoor event, it’s no surprise that the suppliers involved couldn’t help but include some lovely shots across the lawn, on the driveway to the lodge. But inside is where the magic really comes together; with tea spread and a dinner table set for the most exquisite and intimate candlelit dinner party, dressed with the most beautiful fresh pink floral arrangement, pheasant feathers (as a wonderful nod to the lodge’s hunting history) and taper candles – none of which would look out place in a Jane Austin novel.

Amy says: The beauty of a warm fire, blush blooms and candlelit dinner. Tathwell Lodge is Lincolnshire Wolds’ newest wedding venue. Traditionally a Victorian hunting lodge surrounded by idyllic views, the house is set on the hillside of the beautiful village Tathwell, overlooking the fields between it and the village church, St Vedast.
LOCATION
Tathwell Lodge is the ideal venue for both intimate weddings and marquee weddings on the lawn. Boasting spectacular views and recreational extras, including a heated pool, with pool house and bar, BBQ area, plus tennis court. We wanted to highlight the endless opportunities that this incredible venue offers. You have the option of either the beauty of an intimate wedding in this exquisite house, or the option to host a grand affair on the lawns, with a perfect backdrop.
Couples who hold their wedding reception at Tathwell Lodge will be supported by Amy Lauren Weddings throughout their wedding planning journey.
For larger parties, the grounds are the ideal haven for a marquee, with a flat lawn and separate catering area, and a long sweeping driveway with car parking. Access to the Lodge is down a quiet country lane providing the utmost privacy.
STYLING
With the table set for the most intimate reception, we kept the styling and décor complementary to the house and the traditional links to the village heritage. Incorporating stag candelabras, pheasant feathers, and the torn edges of the menus with open fires and abundance of fresh blooms, our suppliers included The Blissful Bride, Flowery Florist, Pumpkin Wedding Designs, So Sweet Cakery and White 7 Lincoln.
ATTIRE
Our beautiful bride, Abi, looked incredible in the most heavenly dress from Proposals Bridal Room, which fit her perfectly, and complemented the venue so well.
BEAUTY
Hair and makeup was expertly done by the lovely Belle Beauty Newark.
RESULTS
The photographer captured the details throughout the house seamlessly, showcasing the potential of this venue for the most exquisite intimate wedding reception.
When hosting an intimate wedding, it really is all in the detail, and we just love the details in this gorgeous tablescape. With fewer numbers, couples get the incredible opportunity to sit everyone together on one long trestle table. For me, the dining table has always been a magical place, a place where memories are made. A place to share laughter, share stories, adventures, hopes, excitement, and love.
