Introducing the incredible Miss He Bridal boutique, with the amazingly talented Hebe at the helm – the destination for brides who want something totally different and bespoke for their big day!

Wigan-based bridal boutique and UNVEILED Network Member Miss He Bridal has quite the tale for you. From Hebe’s attempted mission to find her own wedding dress at more traditional boutiques, to her incredible store of bridal dreams today, she’s come a long way and is ready to make your fantasies a reality. Working with you to create your perfect dress means that you’ll get exactly what you want and it’ll feel all the more special!

Today Hebe’s walking us through the process, from initial consultation, playing dress up with the sample gowns in store, to the design, fabric options and personalised sketch of your very own, completely bespoke wedding gown. And you needn’t worry that Covid can rob you of this experience as Hebe’s even got a way to make it work from home. Sounds amazing, right? Let’s speak to the woman, the myth, the legend herself and find out more…

Hello Hebe!

Hi, my name is Hebe, I studied fashion innovation at art school and have always been involved in the fashion industry. We opened our boutique in August 2016 and launched our first collection in 2018. Miss He Bridal is always experimenting with fabrics and silhouettes to bring new eye catching designs to suit your style.

Where did your passion for bridal fashion begin?

It all started when I was on the hunt for my own wedding dress. I eventually went with my husband’s idea and created my own wedding gown after I wasn’t 100% happy with any of the dresses I had tried on.

Tell us about what makes your boutique special?

We don’t just sell wedding gowns, we make memories. We encourage all our brides to get involved in the designing process. We love creating bespoke, handmade wedding dresses for our beautiful brides, bringing their dream dresses to life and making their day extra special.

Does the boutique have a signature style of gown?

We launch our collection once per year, and some of our classic designs are evergreen.

Can you tell us about the latest Miss He Bridal collection?

Our new 2021 collection is super fun, romantic and so pretty, from the colours to the fabrics we have chosen. We kept the classy elements like appliques, French lace, Italian crepe, then added 3D flowers, as well as vintage inspired pearl tulle, and also adding the unconventional fabrics, like embroidery tulle, sparkle organza.

What sizes do you carry?

Our wedding dresses are specially made for each person. We do not make dresses to a standard size, e.g. 12, 14, 16, but instead to the exact measurements of our brides. For sample sizes, we are trying to provide a wider range of sizes.

Where would you advise brides to look for inspiration?

Magazines, like UNVEILED, or on Pinterest.

How do you approach each appointment?

Our boutique is by appointment only. It starts with initial consultation, this will allow us to know the details of your big day, the where and when. Then you will try on the dresses. For bespoke brides, we will discuss the details of the design and fabric options. Each of our Miss He Brides receives a sketch of their own wedding dress. At the moment this can be done virtually and we offer to send fabric swatches so brides can see and feel the fabrics and trims without leaving their home.

Tell us about the fittings and alterations process?

At Miss He Bridal, we offer free fittings and alterations for our own brides. We pride ourselves in taking extra special care with our wedding dresses. Any of our wedding dress designs can be altered to suit your style.

Why should brides shop in independent, local boutiques?

Our Miss He brides love their unique and individual dresses which allow them to express themselves. Like one of our brides recently commented, we aim to provide “Excellent service with a personal touch”.

And what about accessories?

Since the first lockdown in March 2020, we’ve created some accessories, like veils, capes, and boleros from our off-cut material. The feedback has been great! We have had lots of interest in them! We recently created some bridal tote bags which are made from the off-cut materials too. Our current Miss He Brides can have them made to match their dress. As another Miss He bride said, “This will be perfect for a little honeymoon bag, so you have a piece of your wedding with you whenever you go”.

Have you got any special events coming up?

We are super busy behind the scenes finishing our 2022 collection and cannot wait to show everyone!

How can couples get in touch with you?

You can find us on our website, Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest. The boutique is by appointment only. Just send us a message with what days and times are best for you and we will quickly reply with some available slots. Appointments are free of charge.
