DEEP LUXURY. A STYLED SHOOT AT CASTERTON GRANGE

Sarah Symonds

Wedding planning couples, we’ve got an incredible styled shoot for you today! This one isn’t focused on one particular colour palette or style, but rather plays with the textures and statements involved in the styling, so we reckon it’ll appeal to a lot of you!

Jessica of Jessica Sharpe Weddings is a wedding planner extraordinaire, covering pretty much all of England and helping you lot to plan your wedding day perfection – including some bits and bobs you didn’t even know you needed! This time, she’s joined forces with Anna Beth Photography to craft us a styled shoot to get you twitching to plan your own big day!

We hope you enjoy pouring over these gorgeous snaps of Casterton Grange in all its glory as much as we certainly have, the florals are to die for and, for all our brides-to-be, just check out that dress inspo!

The shoot was designed to showcase understated luxury within a country estate setting. We chose not to follow a particular season or colour palette, and instead focussed on texture and depth.

LOCATION

Casterton Grange sits on the edge of the Lake District and North Yorkshire boundaries. The estate celebrates relaxation and exclusivity, making it perfect for our shoot.

STYLING

Working with the wonderful supplier team, we created an abundance of floral features, by Sophie O’Keefe Floral Design, with a statement floral cloud suspended from the Casterton Grange’s Orangery. Below this, we featured an extensive collection of small posies, arranged to fulfil the depth of the brief. These were the perfect complement to the cascading floral arrangement which sat at the bottom of the tablescape. The linens from Special Occasion Linen were carefully chosen to complement the textures and colours, and this feel was mirrored in the beautifully understated cake too.

There were so many amazing suppliers involved in the shoot. Those silk ribbons came courtesy of Laik Style, stationery was crafted by Stacy Oakley Calligraphy, props, plates and lounge furniture were from Narrative Hire and Blue Sky Events, and cutlery and glassware from Whitehouse Crockery, and we had Wren Cake Design making the amazing cake.

ATTIRE

The outfits were chosen to showcase the different accessories which could be used to transform bridal looks, with just a small change the entire look made for a very different feel, which really shows the adaptability of the pieces. We also chose to use a champagne style dress to showcase the ever growing trend of bridal day and night looks. The dresses were from Hummingbird Bridal Studio, while the garter and dressing gown were both Silk Garters.

BEAUTY

The dress was chosen to illustrate the flexibility and adaptability of the look so we wanted to reflect this in the beauty look too. The meant different looks, from soft, pared down Hollywood to a chic updo accessorised with a statement cape and bow veil. Claire Alexandra did a lovely job.

RESULTS

The team worked incredibly well together and was a pleasure to plan. We hope you enjoy the images as much as we enjoyed creating them. The champagne tower was a real highlight!
